Dead Before My Death
JK Cabresos Oct 2011
I am imprisoned by this contagious disease
Which rendered reluctance and anxieties;
Should I hang first myself upon with this
     velvet rope?
To find a distant place to forget my
     greatest lost.

No one has ever arrived in that rendezvous;
I have been entangled into this path
     I never knew,
And this world is not enough for their
     expectations:
'Tis better to banish the reality, than to see
     my imperfections.

I only have one second left to breathe,
Yet I am already dead before my death
For I have been years in this relinquishment,
In every remorseful day I have been awaken.

My name is never written on the stars
And words are the only weapons in this war,
Do I need to take the risk, to take the rest?
When I am already dead before my death.

I swam the unfathomable thoughts I heard
But still I do not understand my existence here,
Hence, even if I only have one second left
     to breathe,
I am already dead before my death.

I'm Not Gonna Miss You
JK Cabresos Feb 2015
I'm not gonna miss you,
you are always
in my mind,

when I fall asleep
at night,
I will just remember
we lay under
the same stars.

I will take a piece
of your beating heart,
and make it mine,

so when we are apart,
I will not be alone;
you may be far
but never gone.

I'm not gonna miss you,
but your kisses and hugs,
your smiles that struck
like lighting
in my eyes,

I'm not gonna miss you,
but the way
you make my days
complete,
those feelings
that always bring me
to my knees.
JK Cabresos Aug 2012
My soul saunters in a separate way,
yet and gone,
Way into the wilderness,
where my heart always hunts;
Seeking for a Footstool,
for my maimed feet of my childhood,
Upon falling into the cold fire of wrath;
I misconstrued.

My soul saunters in a separate way,
yet and gone,
Distance may alter me,
but of becoming empty and alone;
Be home after that Spirit of Forgiveness
will be regained,
The war has left my mind,
but I could not still find the ending.

My soul saunters in a separate way,
yet and gone,
I pray. I call for Jesus for saving me
from this poignant Poison;
His amazing grace will evermore
stand against all the waves,
My soul saunters in a separate way,
upon leaving my destined grave.

My poem illumines the night like the harvest moon,
like the eerie gleams of fireflies reflect in the stream;
entrenched feelings, somehow are still unexplained
just like how bubbles of morning air kissed my skin.

It's not how our hearts intertwined all of the sudden
but of our language concurred; beautifully spoken,
when my mind awakens to reality, so slow, so slow
that's when I write those lovely words only for you.

when love resists
JK Cabresos Feb 2014
so much pain
in the heart's
broken treasure:

so much rain
in the night's
silent azure,

silvery mirrors
scream only tears;
eyes forbid, it mends

lonely lips
with voicelss words
and sudden ends,

bittersweet memories
of once somber past
left ashes in the chest,

your absence hurts
more than anything,
but then all is lost

I Found A Girl
JK Cabresos Nov 2011
I found a girl who can ever rule my world,
     a girl who makes me lose control.

I found a girl who renewed the pains on my eyes,
     a girl I never thought was an angel in disguise.

The day is completely incomplete
     without her around,

And the air is consistently inconsistent
     if I can't hear her sound.

I found a girl who will not let me stay being blue,
I found a girl ---
     a girl who is
          someone
               like you.

Maybe
JK Cabresos Dec 2017
Maybe the spaces
between our fingers
doesn't fit perfectly
anymore,
Maybe it's better
to hear lies
than the truth.

Maybe our hearts
are now out of sync,
Maybe the love
we tried to mend
only caused us pain.

Maybe memories
are better be buried,
Maybe it's better
to forget
the future we built.

Maybe your lips
are tired being stuck
on mine,
Maybe your arms
just want to hold
someone else’s spine.

Maybe a 'goodbye'
is just a different
kind of saying 'hello',
Maybe it's time
for us
to let go.

Love me
JK Cabresos Feb 2015
Love me like no distance
can ever tear us apart,
Love me like the moon,
shines for the stars.

Love me like there is
no tomorrow,
Love me forever and I will
grow old with you.

Love me like the night,
dies every morning to breathe,
Love me like you can never
love someone else.
JK Cabresos Aug 2015
I'll take you to the moon, Love,
with all my hopes
and dreams of us.
I'll take you far from sadness,
to eternity,
for a lifetime of bliss.

I'll take you to the moon, Love,
where impossibilities
are possible to have.
I'll take you with me,
with my heart,
with my life,
you'll always be a part of it.

I'll take you to the moon, Love,
let's find peace there,
let our love
light up the shadows.
I'll never let you alone in the dark,
to the moon,
even gravity can't hold us apart.

I'll take you to the moon, Love,
I'm giving you my everything,
no matter what.
I'll show you
how love works in our hands,
when we're together,
even of howling chances.

Hello Poetry
JK Cabresos Feb 2012
I heard painful derision of the nightfall
drawn me to seclude my talent
into the unknown place where it was not born futile.
It has been years since you ate my mind;
since we met in that strange road
where all melancholies diverged,
you have been my relief, my friend
and my witness when I was crippled by tears.

I seldom asked the mirrors, why should I continue?
If there are thousands of people outside our worlds
who could create you better than I,
who could make you more attractive than my pen?
Why should I continue my dreams?
And so I almost gave up, surrendered in peace;
I always wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

I was sailing edges of the oceans
just to seek for a masterpiece,
but I was fooled by my selfish intentions
and so I laughed at myself for length,
for there were a bunch of times
I could not even bestow you a single word.

I was totally bruised; buried my feet on the ground.
Others love my poetry, others just trifle,
others read it aloud that no one can hear,
others in facade of silence.
It matters no more, I have critics then.

I write not to impress, but simply to express
my undefined emotions, and unstitched fantasies.
Well, composing you is little bit hard for my part,
but you were a butterfly in my heart.

Humane Humans
JK Cabresos Nov 2011
We have imagined the world
beyond these curtains and proven...

..."Life" is a palindrome.

Snakes are killing worms,
without knowing
victory can only be seen by two naked eyes.

Somehow, we were born to die.

The sun has been covered with heavy clouds
which define the ocean to be dark,

the wind helps our boat we sail
yet the breeze is now singing melancholy.

The rainbows are not always colorful
if we choose to walk through
these vacuous and winding roads
for each regret travels always after the dead-ends;

and these wraiths inside our heads
forbid us to notice that

the morning dew suddenly taste sour
and seconds immediately turned to hours.

Perhaps, we, humans, have never learnt
to count the time we wasted.

Goodbye My Beloved Anonymous
JK Cabresos Oct 2012
Eyes were poisoned by these incurable tears,
lost in a vivid imagery of how we used to be ---
you used to be the angel of my dreams;
reviving the past, finding a relief for myself,
leaving those memories; I can forget you soon ---
only if I will drown my sorrows
at the depths of acceptance in every truth.

"I can move on", "I can wait for her, even forever"
"There's no problem it's her choice anyway",
"Maybe someday I can find someone too",
"May God bless their love story",
"Hope her lover would never hurt her",
Yes! I uttered words which sound so beautiful,
but honestly, I lied, only to hide from people.

Well, you know what hurts me
the most right now?

It's your SMILE...

...because I know it's not for me anymore.

Coffee and Love
JK Cabresos Oct 2012
In order to find true love,
you don't have to taste
all the coffees in the world,
just wait for that coffee of yours
to cool down
and then just drink it;
you never know,
it tastes better than others.
Respect girls before loving them.

Friendship is Enough
JK Cabresos Nov 2011
Our hearts were filled up with marshmallows
and I never noticed, I was drawn closer to you.
With my head on the floors,
my feet on the roof
the day we met was a volcano.

Our shadows crossed;
our noses breathed each other's air:
it must have been love, but it should be over
(for I chose to bestow this heart of mine to someone)
then blow the candles off before everything will be burned.

(Sorry for the cries you cried for me)
(Sorry for the smiles you smiled at me)

I couldn't easily be entangled in your life
for someone already owns my days
and my nights
(someone who where there in times I was sad)
and now, this friendship we built is enough.

It's already proven, being with someone is my best resort,
no matter if I'm the fifth among the four.
I can't really afford to lose the only one I have
I can't be with you today, maybe till tomorrow
(friendship is enough).

(Thank you for the cries you cried for me)
(Thank you for the the smiles you smiled at me)

I'll be glad you'll be moved on also
to someone else's arms
for I wasn't able to hold you from any storms.
We should make it all set and done, somehow
and I am happy that you are happy now.

This land upon each foot of yours walked, might be so cruel,
And you cannot be a deaf for those guffaws from everywhere:
Wherein, from that voyage of foolishness they live to prove,
Lies the night behind, for they are blinded from the truth.

Keep breaking the walls which hinder to once greatest moment,
Soon, will be freed from asphyxiation, after they realize your existence
Do not prolong your agony; they are just a bunch of stupid creatures
For there will be someone to hold you on your dejected hours.

True beauty can be sought by the heart; never by the eyes,
Let your thoughts alter the pain and foresee but frozen fires,
Cry for tears; they are trying to break your broken wings
Someday, you will be fled into the azure skies to exalt everything.

So, wake up each morn to taste the sweetness of the dew
For what sudden image you can behold in the mirror is really you.

Note To The Loving Heart
JK Cabresos Apr 2012
I behold no ordinary affection dissembles on your eyes,
And I shall take you, dear, to the paradise;
I once dreamed of you, now you are my reality
For you are every woman in the world to me.

Our language diverged for one word we call, love;
And I love you; always will, and always have.
Never that smile will die on your rosy lips
For everything is perfect when you came.

Time  has no meaning if I do not have you here,
And forever, I will fill the gaps of your fingers,
No reason for us to walk on separate ways
For I will be the wind on your broken wings.

I behold no ordinary affection dissembles on your eyes,
And I shall take you, dear, to the paradise;
You are now a castle built on my brain
For you are every woman in the world to me.

PAPER BOAT
JK Cabresos Feb 2016
Paper boat on the river,
sailing, hoping it could take
his dreams into the horizons.

Paper boat of a kid, smile —
in every breath of innocence;
no rules, no lies, no fears.

And it was gone, drowned —
lost in heartaches and tears;
living is accepting failures.

Then he made another one,
hoping it could sail once again —
but it is not the same anymore.

Tired
JK Cabresos Sep 2012
I admit, I’m not really good at goodbyes,
not really a good man, either, and I’m tired.
Between every teardrop are your memories
I’m letting go,
and even if tomorrows might be forgotten,
I would never forget you.
I have loved you, and it was vivid and pure,
but I have to wander my world, and explore.
I’m tired of your self-seeking decisions
which could always lead to loud confusions,
tired of every cold war and of every hurtful word.
It might be the ending for us,
but indeed, a beginning for ourselves to wake up
a morning with a smell of a new mown hay;
maybe it’s best, if I walk on another way.
Well, sometimes you need to learn
how to be broken,
in order to be whole again.

Thoughts of Love
JK Cabresos Nov 2011
The very first day we met
     is a boomerang on my mind,
and every time I'm drawn to your pictures
     I remember your angelic face
          which I let myself be enraptured.

We are captured
     by the unexpected love story,
     by the unexpected happiness,
     by the unexpected smiles,
     by the unexpected moments,
     by the unexpected time.

(You make me love you now and then,
your presence means Heaven,
And if I will have to choose one
     from thousands of women,
I'll swear to God to have you again).

We are sharing this valley of love,
whence, I hope us to stay forever
     (continue reigning my heart).
Thank you for filling up the gaps of my fingers;
     if you will be drifted away,
          I'll be drowned from that ocean of tears.

Your sweet little eyes,
     (looking forward for more  memories)
your wide open arms,
     (accepting the way I used to be)
and your red rosy lips
     (touching my heartfelt gratitude).

I found it awkward for these affections to rely,
     but believe me,
          loving you is one of the perfect moments
               in my life.

An Inspirational Message
JK Cabresos Mar 2012
Life is a wonderful gift bestowed us from Above,
but it is also challenging and heart-wrenching.
We can all use a little motivation and inspiration
from time to time, to navigate the small
and large hurdles we encounter on our journey.
But when the moment comes you will be creating
footsteps on that aimed horizon, never forget
to look back and be reminded of those few people
who have brought you there. Remember those hands
which comforted you on your failures, rather than
those hands which praised you on your success.

Dot
it may such just a little thing,
yet it can end any sentences,
can caught any attentions
and can stop any questions

it may symbolize
any feelings:
sad,
angry,
or confused

this dot is important
just like anything
in this world,

for it doesn't matter
how big or small
a thing is...

...it's how we give meaning to it.

JK Cabresos Apr 2013
a raven, alone in an old empty church
living by the silence of the pale moonlit night
soaring into the sky; crying on a silver birch

seeking for a better place; wings are broken
if only the whole world is listening now,
this raven might whisper about its existence.

The Moon Is So In Love
JK Cabresos May 2015
The moon is so in love,
to and fro, a distant dream,
wishes of heavens above;
the longing and the pain.

The moon is so in love,
a night sealed with a kiss,
loving tears, a part thereof;
a glimpse of smile, a bliss.

The moon is so in love,
our hands will entwine again,
and mend our hopeful hearts;
the longing and the pain.

The strands in your eyes
reflects through the sunrise in my morn,
Your welcoming promises
I have yet to find in every step of my turn.
You’re the enticing melody
when my serene nights howl with sorrows,
You’re a seraphic presence
I imagined in the room when I’m so hollow.
Your hand fits perfectly in mine
but, how can you be so blind not to see it?
You’re so close yet still so far
well, I just can’t avoid your cold heartbeat,
Indeed, we’re just like dominoes;
I fall for you, and you fall for another.

FANTASY
JK Cabresos Jan 2012
She ate our minds, and we forgot the reality
We heard her unsound stories, then believed
She controls every little thing we controlled,
She lies at the bottom of every truth we hold
She lies at the bottom of every truth we hold

She ate our minds, and we forgot the reality
But she could stir our bitter cups of sorrows,
With her, we are heroes whenever we wanted
There are no borders, no storms, just happiness
There are no borders, no storms, just happiness

She can take us to a new world of perfection,
But still our choice, will decide our destiny;
She ate our minds, and we forgot the reality
We heard her unsound stories, then believed
We heard her unsound stories, then believed

I Understand Love
JK Cabresos Oct 2011
All the things I understand.
I understand because I love:
I love simply because I exist,
and I exist because of you.

I understand love —
more than I understand you,
more than peace
which I have to know;
for I'm always down
to confusions at night,
from the spark of your answer
I'm wishing to ignite.

But if your heart is still blind,
I'll just wait for you
till the ravens turn to white,
till the moment the rain
will never come
for love —
love is one of the things
I understand:

I understand love the way it goes,
the time it grows,
the way it feels
and the way it shows.

I understand love the way it breaks,
the time it takes,
the way it puzzles
and the way it hurts.

And if the answer seems still unclear,
I'll still wait till it will be heard;
for I understand love —
more than other people do,
and I understand love —
because of you.

Walking the strides behind every diverging road;
Of melancholic views of mistaken tears in life,

Afraid that yet again he could may never be found.
Upon entering, he would devour hundreds of risks,
He needs to shadow a North Star to be safe and sound.

I Still See Your Ghost...
JK Cabresos Jun 2013
In fragmented mirrors
where I used to see myself with you,
and now you become
my own reflection.
Tears can't bring us back,
and those sweetest talks
are only drowned
into memories, I nod.

In every corner of the streets
where we used to walk together
holding hands.
The spaces between my fingers
are where yours fit so perfectly
but now you're gone.

I still see your ghost
which frightens me to move forward,
I might stumble.
And it holds my tongue to say
that I've already forgotten you,
I might mumble.

When I'm with someone else,
it only reminds me of you.
Even when I close my eyes,
I could still see your ghost.
And the worst
is that I still want you to be mine,
but you said
you're already moving on.

A Prisoner of His Dream
JK Cabresos Nov 2012
He was awakened from those lovely fantasies,
But it only held him half alive that night;
A dream of sailing across the seven seas,
Only drowned him in disappointments, he cried.

He tried to separate the moon from the stars,
But he failed only to tell him about this strife.
Mind was vexed by a dream that turned into scars,
Reality wounded him, so he will be asleep again tonight.

Nobody From Nowhere
JK Cabresos Oct 2011
I am in penury; exhausted from these burdens of life,
Forever a loser? For I have never won yet a price.
I will not wrangle, I let them stoop at me so low
And I accept this discernment, for I have nothing to lose.

I do not have buoyancy to stay afloat in waters,
Scarcity of respect? Well, I am just nobody from nowhere
And I do not have puissance to climb any highest peak,
Also, pity words for them, for this tongue to be a speech.

Years were gone, still I cannot be an escapee for this maze,
Always in the midst of dimness since I have seen my face,
But I dream for that flare which will illuminate the pains,
With this persistence I own, I will search for it again.

I am nobody, and I am from nowhere, but I am me;
Being a stoic may not heal the wounds but can cool the flame.
If someday, people will glance at me standing on the top,
Hope to find not only that richness, but also that peace and love.

kisses on a blank paper
JK Cabresos Aug 2014
cold wind
of once moonlit night,
leaving every thing behind,
attracted to this window,
seeing the glimpse of desires
from afar, wondering,

you with a man,
lying down on his arms
beneath that firefly tree,
exchanging every beat
of your enchanted hearts,

i foresee, i might be,
i will now write our story,
with this love,
with this hope,
with this words
and kisses on a blank paper,
every thought in my mind
will never die a ******

Trading Hearts
JK Cabresos Mar 2015
The river sings
melody of silence;
the leaves fall
as the wind
kisses my skin.

The clouds dance
in the azure skies;
the day is here,
for those perfect
lonely nights.

Under this tree
where grass never grow,
we made a promise
that our love
will never get old.

Trade your heart
with mine,
and I will give you
my everything,
my whole life.

For You
JK Cabresos Nov 2011
You don't even know that now I'm a little too confused,
I just saw you for a moment, but it feels like I was lost:
I couldn't hold on to my heart to beat that fast,
Was it just an admiration?
Afterwards, it is going to last.

I would do nothing but everything to get your attention,
And I have to have that courage to tell the truth
But how did I come up to this situation?
It seems like what I feel have just been my living proof.

But now, a thing we called love is in my veins,
And for you, I would kneel to the ground and ask for something:
I've been to dreaming but now I'm already awake,
And if you answer me with those hurtful words,
I'll just try to accept.

You're the only girl I have learned to appreciate,
And if you're neither the one for me,
I know I'll be completely incomplete.
It sounds different to be just a friend for you,
So, I'm taking steps nearer that would let you know.

Feelings? Yes, I have these kind of word inside my heart,
That I have never tried to lend time being just apart.
You have the best smiles and the most beautiful soul in this world;
So now I want to ask you this, would you be my girl?

Variable Change
JK Cabresos Feb 2012
I used to see you shine all through the melodious night,
accompanied by stars surround the sweetest sky;
but now, I'm watching you slowly fading ---
with tears beneath each pale moonlight.

The World Is Sleeping
JK Cabresos Feb 2014
The world is sleeping with gun
under its pillow.
Dreaming of fantasies
to shade its broken windows.
People against people,
souls against souls.

The world is sleeping in terror
beneath the moonlit night.
'Tis the coldest war of the year;
raining tears from the skies.
Yet every cloud has a silver lining;
tomorrow is never been frozen.

MISSING POETRY
JK Cabresos Dec 2012
Divisions of these winding roads
only lead me closer to pain,
and every time I remember you,
all I remember is everything.

Visions of the frozen future
only punish me, drown me in vain,
now let me hear your cries,
for my cries are burning me in flame.

Passion to pen my rotten words
somehow diminish the sting in my eyes,
I have missed POETRY than you,
I have missed POETRY than you,
the TRUTH is a LIE.

Worst Heartbreak
JK Cabresos Jul 2017
It's not from first or last,
or memories of pain from past.
It's when you can love again,
but you just chose not to.
When you think attraction slowly fades,
worst heartbreak is feelings left unsaid.
