The living endure our inquiry, but not you, ye whom thru

decease roams free. We put queries to all you left behind, to seek out what whilst living troubled your weary mind. But still your thoughts remain a mystery, your clues thus choose to evade using no reason, no logic, but rhyme -and I quiddle no longer upon your Poetry, I am the quidnunc who figured you foolish, a fiddler fond of wasting time.
It is not the nature of things or people to satisfy us,
but to awaken in us the desire to be satisfied.
For all of this Earth’s wonder and beauty and mystery,
it's only meant to serve as a great cosmic magnet
pulling us to our Source. May every scent and song,
every shadow and sorrow move us ever closer to Him.
"'Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good,
and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.
Give ear and come to Me;
listen, that you may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
My faithful love promised to David...'
Seek the LORD while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near...
You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands."

5am skies
Paint a periwinkle view
A slick step underlies
This cold morning dew

It should come as no surprise
The birds echoing coo
And I can only surmise
That springs fighting through

But the forecast lies
And warm glimpses are few
As winter bored eyes
Beg the sun to come to

This town softly sighs
Reluctant flowers grew
And sunlight it pries
At the clouds we so rue

Yearn for giving up ties
To bundling till we brew
Instead saying our hi's
To the shorts we outgrew

Then we'll hear children's cries
As the school year is through
How summer yearly buys
Precious freedom to renew

As a sunbather fries
To reach a darker hue
And teenage boys rise
Forget shirts when they do

When the cold rain dries
Although not quite on cue
This change is a prize
You could take part, too

Tiny buds push up
Popping their heads out to ask,
"May we come to play?"

Louisiana
Distinction between seasons
Almost unnoticed

Perfection now, but
mosquitoes will swarm us soon.
Spring is oh too short

The world is melting
Shuddering off her top coat
To display her skin

Spring-so colorful
But you want to know the truth?
Winter's more my style.
A series of haikus I wrote in spring. I live in Louisiana, so spring isn't much of a season :P
