deep in the forest
green and brown;
and yellow of the sun

between the trees
a spiderweb traps morning dew
but nobody’s home

a fly buzzes-
carefully below the web
without threat

dew struggles to let go
and gravity calls for:
a spiderweb with a fly

I built a fortress
to brace my heart for anything you would bring.
And yet it crumbles,
when you bring me silence.

yes, that day hasn't even passed yet.

keep on going
Horatio Poetry Nov 2018
for the earth to flower, rain must pour

for the sky to collapse, a mind can dream

for the memories to fade, time will flow

for the universe to make sense, you do doubt

for the sun to rise again, darkness shall reign

for the heart to atone, a soul may pray

for the life to have purpose, mankind be wise
