In the darkness of my room
In the hollow of your chest
I have felt the loneliest there

Blah blah blah
Enjoy
You
it was dark, once,
cloudy and rain-drenched,
cold and lonely in my world.

then there you were.

food was tasteless,
it held no joy to me,
i forgot how to smile.

then there was you.

there was nothing but a hollow shell,
a marionette,
a pantomime of life.

Now, there's you.

and it will take me some time yet
to get used to you -
to accept that which I thought I would never see again.
but I know I'll do it -
because now, there's you.
thanks, KM.
Retrograde Monday
Irregular conversation; distressed axis
Sunlight riveting autumn leaves
Dance out of step, distract us
Shaky shapes of the holy mother
Church lips; sin-tinted sigh
Only a God could love her
Hedyloidea: a caught butterfly
Of Slink, sinew, childhood rhymes
Hers a pressed smile, run by Time
The Stations await, the cattle call
Shuffle on soot planet, entrails et al
just an etch a sketch

allowing you to move it how you want
draw your picture

make sure that what you want to see is there

make every curve
every point
every line in your way
don’t forget a thing

leave In a hurry
shake it up in the attempt to erase every piece of you
but you’ll miss a few lines

It’s just an etch a sketch

unable to erase you on its own
Five minute writing session
i am a wilted wallflower
just across the hall
deadened petals
plucked and fallen
scattered remnants
on cold stone
each discarded petiole
inscribed with simple limericks
like butterfly kisses

                              she loves me

**** the pollen
out from me
suffocating poison
trim my leaves
and shear my thorns
no longer dangerous
mold me into something
safe and harmless

                              she loves me not

rid me of beauty
bid me return
to that same dust
from whence i came
a lust overpowers
and devours all hope
so crush me between
the pages of your
favorite book
let me rest
in peace
not pieces
Often ignored
Are the soft cries
Of those taken advantage of.
It hurts so badly
Did we make it home
After years of wandering?
Can we see the lights?
