With fingertips
I touch your forehead

my hands bless your head

my heart accepts you for life.

I vow to love you
as I have loved my son.

Welcome home, my daughter.
that says for my absence for a fortnight.
thank you all fellow poets on hp.
my gratitude to Victoria, Rick, Steve, Cristina and Chimaera.

Andy my friend I am praying for you
I know what happens is hard to go through
We all love you and hope you will smile
I hope to see you for a long time trial
I know cancer is a hard battle to win
But I am hoping that you will stay in your skin
The reason you fight the battle so long
Is the same exact reason you will become strong
Andy, you are not the cancer that is inside
Just push all the stupidness of this illness aside
Us people will still look at you the same
Within my heart you will always have fame
You are a great person and someone I will never forget
Even though to this day we have never met
Andy, you are important to this world and me
Even though cancer is in you, we will fight it, agreed?
I will stand with you and fight this battle until the end
I hope that you know that in me you have friend.
This is for a friend who's name is Andy. He is fighting through cancer. Please help support him by repost this or writing you own poem and name it Andy. Please. He only has 3 weeks to live. Let us all stand up and fight this battle with him. <3 Love you all.

You are a ridiculous woman
who makes me ponder the most...
innocuous of sentences for... anything
that might betray a semblance of something
deep beneath your simple surface.
I shouldn't like you.
At least I don't know why I do,
and there are so many reasons too.

Your freckles and chromatic shifting eyes,
telling me lies, I swear to you they are green...
Your voice and that smile with a dot to your lips
and the way you look to the world, wide open
yet

so brilliantly concealed.

The wisps of your hair, escaping from their tie
and how ***** your hands are, I know the creases
by sight; even those covered by paint.

Yet I have not felt them, clasped them in mine...
How fragile are you? You could break at my touch,
or run in fear at my boorishness.
You, such a beautiful flower, give me nothing but questions,
how can I pick you without plucking your stem,
Should I bring you water, do I block your sun?
I do not speak Flower...

So yet you elude me, without ever having moved.
While I fight to find the face past the flowers.
To find the heart of you,
the part of you that draws me in.
The reason that I like you.
With a voice as grainy as sand,
I was told by many a man
That love was a curse,
A soft Gypsy hand stroke on the cheek
Endured by the lonely
And accepted by fools.
Everything we see is
it’s pristine essence
casting the same light
from the womb of darkness.

Gripped by the dolor of a glaucous sky,
love's longing reminds us
that nothing is ever truly lost
to anything less
than the visual acuity of a heart.

Unseen signs never give up
their quest for being seen.
With a slight tilt of the head,
the light of the heart changes...
and so does everything,
everything.

until we no longer dream

I am of a strange alchemy.
Iron and tarnished silver,
with porcelain hands.
The rest feels like glass.
Fragile.
Vulnerable.
As though the smallest tremor
could send me falling
to shatter.

I love you
even  if
those eyes no longer recognize me
even  if
my name doesn't bring tidal waves in your chest anymore

Lewis Carroll
I have a fairy by my side
Which says I must not sleep,
When once in pain I loudly cried
It said "You must not weep"
If, full of mirth, I smile and grin,
It says "You must not laugh"
When once I wished to drink some gin
It said "You must not quaff".

When once a meal I wished to taste
It said "You must not bite"
When to the wars I went in haste
It said "You must not fight".

"What may I do?" at length I cried,
Tired of the painful task.
The fairy quietly replied,
And said "You must not ask".

Moral: "You mustn't."
