You will not break my spirit burning bright,
turn my day to terror'd night
you will not break my cities tall and proud,
run my family underground

you will not break me!

you will not rob my leaders of their will,
clergy of their faith,
you will not peel stripes from my face
poke holes through my stars

you will not get away with this!

you will not turn my red, white and blue
into painful black and blue,
you will not break my children's acrid innocence,
my freedom to endure,
you will not take my mother and hold her hostage,
break my back first man, 'cause I'll seek justice

I'm an American!

My colors do not run,
I'm black, white, brown, yellow and tan
I'm an American!
You broke into family's home
killed brothers and sisters
one day I will get you
because I'm an American!
and
you will not break me,
you will not break me,
you will not break the hope in my child's eyes
peace will prevail to your surprise,
love is strength in numbers,
your will is bound by hatred

America slumbers no more,
the giant has awaken and
years of complacent, fat-cat politics
is now down to ***** out heretics
I got *****
I got *****
I got ***** swinging from the hips of
Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull
ready to bounce you out of your holes!

I got soul,
I got soul
I got soul like no others got soul,
got soul like Tina Turner, James Brown,
Ella Fitzgerald and the New York City Fire Department

I'm an American!

I got heart,
I got heart like no others got heart
I got heart like the Tin Man found
I got heart like Tony Bennett, George Foreman,
Marlon Brando, Jesse Owens,  BB King, John Belushi
Johnny Franco and the Miracle Mets!
I'm an American!
I'm an American!
and
you will not break me
you will not break me
you will not break me!

It's not just any kind of poem, the 9/11 poem

i wish i was better
at being angry.

like taking a baseball bat
to her car kind of angry...
feeling the weight of the swing and
watching the glass shatter.

like standing outside
his place and
shrieking
obscenities,
whipping stones
at the windows
kind of angry.

it's hard for me
to even feel anger.
i default to
confusion,
sadness,
disappointment.

what i wouldn't give
to just be
furious
and unleash it
on the world
in a hellish firestorm
for the first time in my life.

but i don't know how.
i only know how to be
cryptic and weird.
ramble on and then
sulk in silence.
scribble and type
and look around
in suspicion.

i wish people
shrunk in terror
from me,
but if wishes were horses,
beggars would ride.
I had to let go the sweetest love, and let it rotates again
Because the journey to love is a journey to one’s self,
Your highest, most sacred and loving self(quote)

While my broad rim hat were shielding the sun from my face
Who was shielding the hearts of sin?
Your smile, my laughter, your presence and your calm demeanor
Somehow the calmness worries me,

But, I must do bear in mind that some roses bloom independently
and some struggles through the concrete to survive
this morning I am struggling with the thoughts of emptying my suitcase
Too many memories, too many smiles and most of them
Came from, you, I never wanted my vacation to end
But once again the journey to love is a journey to one’s self

Where do we stand, after the darkest hour’s commute
and the fall season arrives in my part of the world
without warning?

The black birds will stop singing by midsummer,
and our love will fade from view, low blow , low blow
to our  lonely hearts,
I am not too big to sit here and cry....
another step back  from happiness once more.

15 years later, the America has changed forever.
And it's sad to see airplanes destroying the World Trade Center, The Pentagon in Washington D.C. and even 1 airplane landing down in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
As we pray for memories for those who were killed in the 9/11 attacks on this tragic day, we will never forget you, your friends and your family for the past couple of years.
So, from now on, things will soon to be changed for next year and we are promise this will never happen again in Massachusetts for a very long time.
