This is a poem
That comes straight from my heart
Bypassing my brain
And all other parts
From there to my pen
In writing it down
This poem in your hand
That your holding now

This poem breathes into it
It's very own life
Brings its own tears
If there's a need to cry
This poem has it all
With a need for no more
This poem that you hold
This poem straight from my heart

This poem comes with no title
With no need to explain
Something so simple
As a given name
All that it has is all that it is
This poem from my heart
Is all that it gives
Nothing lasts forever.
Everything in this world is temporary.

We are living proof of this.

It was love that you tasted
On the tip of your tongue
Your desire is not wasted
Our oldest bonds are still young
My belonging to you
Is so much more than words
Nothing has ever felt so true
Yours may as well be
The only voice
My heart has ever heard...
"It's You, It's You,
It's all for you,
Everything I do..."

You're going to find me
So completely wretched.*
But why did we have to wait
For a cute little baby to die,
Before the media cared
About the millions who
Are already ******* dead.
please don't hate me but god's teeth, this world is a messed up one.

Dreams of Sepia
A reticent fox slinks by beneath
the trees

that still have leaves
conversing for now

the change in colors
sleeps still, unannounced

the rain smells of ploughed earth
& freshly hung-out clouds

& wellington boots
Autumn's child cries it's first word

& inside a low-lit pub
a crisp old cider's poured

September's dreams
fermenting
