Kira Ferguson
She walks with purpose
Strides like roots,
Her naked toes break even pavement
To turn the gears at the deepest core
In her favor

She runs the wheel
Collecting coins and gold stars
Which she blows coastal with a mighty gust
Morphing trophies into sea spray

Her neurons work as spindles
Making into thread
The fibers of daydreams
And she weaves it to webs daily
Despite the destruction that comes before dawn

She is creation
She is the West Wind
Bringing bouts of turbulent change and
Opportunity?
Who knows but her?

The whispers of a thousand ladybugs
Caught in a strand of sunbeam
Became slurred
One more White Russian
Sloshed down and stirred
In the belly of that brilliant star
Gave birth to sweet summer
The seventh month, day five
Seemed silent in comparison to the night before
Where blasts became a long drone
And drowned out that roaring train
Which would (on any other night)
Rattle the blinds of this small home
We see that it is soon to be emptied
And even more quickly, after,
To be full once more
We are at the crossroads
Of interspace and matter
But those thousand tiny wings
Kick up dust off our old albums and memory boxes
And leave them hanging there
Suspended in threads of light
Such big eyes we have
All the better to dream with
Sleepwalkers, forevermore

Hollow
Everywhere I let my eyes wander
All the faces I dare to glance upon
They're all the same

It's all water
Placid as glass
Every detail coagulates
Into one blank page
A diary of lost souls

I feel pulled under
By the cascading heights
Of my insecurities
Constantly wondering;
Does anyone else see this?

If the world is invisible to us all
Where do we aim our eyes:
*To the clouds?

Hollow
Come repaired
Only to be taken apart again
This house is no longer
A home for you

You there, rusting away
Atop a dusty window sill
Looking out through broken glass
At Memory lane

There is no medicine for your pain
No pill to take this time
You will not sleep here
You will not dream here

You will breathe here
Inhale the bitter past
You will walk barefoot
Through these solemn halls

You will cut your hands
On sharp words that still linger
On the ancient air
Toxicity

See these colors and remember
The paint tells a different story
Rotten wood drives you insane
Welcome back to termite hindsight

This place is no longer a home
A cemetery rests here
Ghosts live here now
You don't belong here

Had me at hello, Cliche', but a new experience for me,
Hearts were performing but I always covered my eyes at that show.
Your name, Seemingly, the flower I just wanted to sit, watch grow.
Could have had it all
I lost you in the fall.
No reference to a drop
At the Sight of Daisies
Even the Greatest of Gatsby's broke clocks.
Concerned myself with the perfection of detail,
I hope he does see all the beauty, even when you fail.
Does he cherish the small things?
The way you sip your tea,
The many ****** expressions when you speak.
King of the questions, that would never leave this mouth.
Queen of the Answer, all I needed was you, I had no doubt.
Brain vs Heart, I already knew better
Planned the perfect picnic, I know you can finish this line, Always so clever,
Tried to stay in control, Faltered, I'm human I now know.
Involuntary motion of feelings without direction, where do I now go.
Like a movie scene I had every perfect song for the moments that altered.
Subconscious I woke, smiled, it was your face imprinted on our daughter.
The end is far, but you are my friend, I am always close,
these are just my thoughts, starred in with a little hope that floats.
With a canyon of love in between
I made promises to you I cant ever mislead.
2, I will see you, 1, close your eyes, & watch me Dream.

Unknown
There was this feeling
That the people once called love
They described it as
Untouchable
Unavoidable
Spiritual
Sensual

Life

A storm basked along the horizon
On one particular day
Supernova came
And she told the world to be still
And

know

And everything was quiet after that

There was the color red
As heat bled
From open sores in the sky
And mercy
Pulled a knife from it's spine

Those unscathed
Would often shake fists in the air
Heads turned upwards
And open voices to a stranger
For whom they blamed
Armageddon

Not a whisper responded
Nor did despair
Cease to charge

Love no longer had a place
Alas, hatred had eaten her heart
All that is left
Is but a husk
Of an echo
Of a memory
It is nothing

*Dust
Dual meaning.

Oscar Wilde
The sky is laced with fitful red,
The circling mists and shadows flee,
The dawn is rising from the sea,
Like a white lady from her bed.

And jagged brazen arrows fall
Athwart the feathers of the night,
And a long wave of yellow light
Breaks silently on tower and hall,

And spreading wide across the wold
Wakes into flight some fluttering bird,
And all the chestnut tops are stirred,
And all the branches streaked with gold.

Oscar Wilde
To outer senses there is peace,
A dreamy peace on either hand
Deep silence in the shadowy land,
Deep silence where the shadows cease.

Save for a cry that echoes shrill
From some lone bird disconsolate;
A corncrake calling to its mate;
The answer from the misty hill.

And suddenly the moon withdraws
Her sickle from the lightening skies,
And to her sombre cavern flies,
Wrapped in a veil of yellow gauze.

For one poem I shared here at HP
I got 55 views of which 5 were hearts -
hey, what happened to the 50?
OK, I don't expect all readers
to like the poems I post
so maybe HP -
