I made a hundred little songs
That told the joy and pain of love,
And sang them blithely, tho’ I knew
No whit thereof.

I was a weaver deaf and blind;
A miracle was wrought for me,
But I have lost my skill to weave
Since I can see.

For while I sang—ah swift and strange!
Love passed and touched me on the brow,
And I who made so many songs
Am silent now.
Infinite grains of sand,
sprinkled on the shore,
each carrying a memory,
of days shared before.

Silent winds shift the sands,
swirl and toss and rearrange,
till memories scatter far away,
but remain the same.

Raging ocean pounds the shore,
tears the memories from their place,
and gently rests them deep at sea,
but they still remain the same.

Infinite grains of sand,
sprinkled across the world,
These memories never fade,
they just come and go unheard.

Iss eid pe tujh ko main kya bhejoon,
koi jugnuu,
koi taara,
koi sapnaa bhejoon ?

Koi phool bhejoon ad’khilaa se,
koi umeed,
koi aas,
koi nazaara bhejoon ?

Chaand bhejoon tujhe is eid pr
ik khushbuu,
ik rang ka istaara bhejoon ?

Aye mere dost !
roshni ki rang ki muskaan bhejoon ?
ya apni likhi koi shayari  bhejoon ?

Apni aankh ka koi moti teri nazar karoon,
Ya hathon se maangi koi dua bhejoon ?

Phoolon se koi titlii ki mohabbat bhejoon,
kisi bhanwre ki lagan,
us ka tarrana bhejoon !

Kisi shamma ka jalta hua daaman bhejoon,
Ya baarish ki hasti hui boondain bhejoon ?

Mere hathon main ik aas, umeed aur dua hai,
iss eid pe main tujh ko bass itna keh doon,

ke tum jo chaho
Woh sitaara mil jaye,

Tujh ko iss eid pe
Koi tumhara mil jaye..

veiled behind the barbs of acacia
the river bathes in the lazy sun

she's a thousand years or more
but knocks my heart's door
like a flirtatious teen

come deflower me
bare me in your poetry
wear me on your skin

soon she would be lost to the sky
leaving on the banks echoes of her lust

i pause for a piece of her
before my dream turns to dust!

I've counted every firefly
Waiting for you
One
You have stars in your eyes
Two
And stardust in your lungs
Three
Your voice will drip with honey
Four
My counting's just begun
Sixteen
Every day will be and adventure
Seventeen
I'll travel the world with you
Eighteen
We won't have to leave the bed
Nineteen
My world will be you
Forty-three
We'll compare scars
Forty-four
And swap the best stories
Forty-five
We won't care about accomplishments
Forty-six
We're each other's greatest glories
One hundred and eight
I'm getting lonely dear
One hundred and nine
I counted this firefly twice
One hundred and ten
The waiting will be worth it
One hundred and eleven
You'll be my only vice
One thousand and twenty-one
I don't think you're coming
One thousand and twenty-two
I lost count a long time ago,
I hope you're counting too.

I thread upon this snowy path
Staring upon the face of winter's wrath
The freezing cold chills me to the bone
In this blizzard I turn as hard as stone

My heart burns amidst the frost
Warmth is but little I have lost
The love I carry is a kindle that burns
The flame that the malice heart yearns

Come winter come, I care not
My flesh, my body, I have forgot
There is no harm that a breeze can bring
Outside is winter, but in my heart is spring
So when you go home after a walk in the cold outside, don't drink hot cocoa, but read a poem to remind you of love. That would suit one better, don't you think.

UPON thy purple mat thy body bare
Is fine and limber like a tender tree.
The motion of thy supple form is rare,
Like a lithe panther lolling languidly,
Toying and turning slowly in her lair.
Oh, I would never ask for more of thee,
Thou art so clean in passion and so fair.
Enough! if thou wilt ask no more of me!
