So many words
Stitched with finery
Fine attire crafted
With feelings close to heart
The soul once lay bare
Now clad with intricate fabric
Richly woven
With fine craftsmanship
Fashionable for every season
It’s your own creation
With the language of your heart
Cloak of eloquence
In the poetry you write

We have forgotten the original story
While writing so many versions of our own
With the pen that faltered
And the ink which created blemishes over paper
Creating only caricatures of the true beauty
Which we cannot emulate

Words penned centuries ago
Comes alive each time we read
Taking us back to that moment
Holding hand of those words
And time travelling to the past era
Showing us vivid imageries
Of what the writer has gone through
Inspirations, triumphs, failures, heartbreaks
Solitude, travels and an insight to his world
Connecting with the soul
Through the words penned in indelible ink
Each page, a revelation
Still living in words and within the pages
Faint heartbeat of the distant past
Reverberates in each composition
Immortal through the words
And still holding the rich legacy
Antique words, relevant even today

I sit breathing
staring at a lit candle

I hear the gentle
singing of crickets

the world has yet to awaken

another day of life
to open my heart to

a quiet morning
before I throw myself into the day

may I be centered by
inner stillness and peace,
so I may share this morning quiet
with all those I meet today
Poem after morning meditation

Once the darkness
Ruled the night.
You could not see
By candlelight.

Now the lights
Are bright...

They WIN!

But it's darker than
It's ever been.

The more chaos
The more darkened
Society becomes.

The only thing keeping
The wolf from our door
Is the fact that we have
Already let it in.
