It is not the pain, but the hope, that hurts‘,
I insisted, thinking I was wise;
as he plucked two twinkling stars from the sky
and placed them in my eyes

My head upon his shoulder lain
he carried me to my resting hour,
climbing the tresses of Ferdowsi’s Rudāba
he freed me from the imprisoning tower

We’ve seen each other’s scars‘, he said
our imperfections seem so perfect
As I gaze into his fathomless eyes
my heart, in soothing undulation, swept

Carried away on an emerald ocean
within the cadence of my wanting,
the deeper you dive, the less violent the waves‘,
I immerse, the current no longer daunting

First buds break through winter’s frost
ushering the blessed re-birth of spring,
his kiss, a flame, melts the ice in my soul
re-awakening my heart to blossoming.

Acuity's sweetheart, without a peep what whole
to picture, reflect you.
Black hole gone white...you consume all put to
you.
Unwavering stare ad nauseam--great gatherer
of last nerves.
Your only sentiment, an unnerving one.
As per second guess, images donned their
reality within your confines...their dead end of
your wide open.
Grey skies of luminous latency, frozen lakes,
serrated knives, sentient fog--smack of you.
Timeless conversation piece on reserve for what
thing may look into you.
How can something so crystal clear, be so cut off?
Your desensitization was fashioned darkly--that
pained slip...that recoil of what you reflect.
More final than the wall hang you, as to eclipse.
You belong shut in a dark, musty closet, or the
cobweb corner of an attic.
Clearly...you do not merit the light of day...it's fire
to brush...O Great Teacher!

Another sleepless night
3am, a bit beyond
the witching hour

A time of quiet reflection
Remembering dreams lost
& Creating dreams to be

Thinking of past sorrows
Anticipating tomorrow's
Joys

Another sleepless night

Contemplating Life's mystery
And
Marveling at the
Wonder of it all...

a piece of art you are
in your worn out sleeves
and heart shaped eyes
laid out in a bed of cherries
and a field of tulips to share with me
your ocean view windows
that streak the blue sea
and your sheer white pearls
that melt onto me
like chocolate fondue
warm and sweet;
you are the taste, the mouthful
of words that sit on my tongue
get along with your truffle kisses
and your red wine lips
begging for the chateau
to soak in the void
and with a mind shining thought
you traced my back
with the stem of a flower
that went on and on
for the next half hour
will you be my valentine?
We construct a social facade
as a defense mechanism
to, among other things, cope with
an apathetic and numbing world.

There are so many levels of disease to this.

We need to be willing to pierce the social facade of others
and to be willing to have our social facade pierced
if we are to truly advance as Humans-
individually, let alone as a whole.

May we please care enough to spare ourselves of this crap, already?
Music is much like Life:
it begins and it ends
it goes through stages
it has an ebb and flow
it is arbitrary yet structured
it is abstract; relative only unto itself
and once it stops, it's over.

The first thing that happens
defines a point of relativity
and around that rhythmic, melodic and harmonic axiom
everything else is free to move;
but, once it has ended,
silence;
perhaps applause.

Otherwise, peace.

An encore wasn't in the contract.

The only dissonance
is internal;
cognitive.

But,
once it has happened,
if if it significant enough,
it creates waves that ne'er cease to ripple and refract
and in such a way they are immortal
and in such a way they are free
to have a causal effect on the rest of Humanity;
on the rest of Reality.

Music, much like Life,
comes from Void
into Existence,
then it suffers the physical world
and then it returns again
to motionlessness,
perhaps even Void again,
and from there,
who's to say?

So, I suppose, the moral is
to not be afraid of who you are;
learn it and come to terms with it
and learn what drives it forth
and then utilize that
and do it to the utmost
that others may see thy, as well as their own, Light
that they, themselves, may be inspired
to shine bright
that Light of their own.

In that way and that way alone
shall we bring forth an Enlightened World.
If the realm of Thought is of such infinite interest to us as Human Beings,
we owe it to ourselves to utilize willing and able psychedelic explorers
to bring back aspects of the other; aspects so very occluded
that the rest of us are too oblivious to see and too sober to remember.
..too high to keep believing what they keep telling us to think..

That's gotta be why they're so controlled..
Fresh perspectives upset stale systems.
Not that these ideas are new.. but that's part of the problem.
Some force is holding us back. I think it's us, guys.
Humanity is Humanity's worst enemy.
The people who set that up must be stopped
and if they can't, the systems that are in place must be overturned
lest we enslave our potential and deny ourselves the Eden
over which we so toil.

That's what Jesus was saying until they made an example out of him.
However you may feel about what I've said, that last statement is probably less inaccurate than many made by people who carry the banner of Christianity.
For the record.

..so raw and empowering..

The human mind is running
the latest software upload
of this paradigm shifting program~
that calculates genetic algorithms
into vast patterns of random regularity
birthing the seeds of intelligent transformation
by out-solving itself
upon a flowering field~
of continuously evolving functions
displaying fractal solutions of subtle nuance~
braced in between a boundary of infinitely opposed edges.

...the Universal Mind does this in every dimension for an eternity.

I simply cannot complain about the aches in my brain
out of a shear respect for the absolute profundity of the situation.
I've started reading quite a stimulating book called, "The Singularity is Near", by Ray Kurzweil.
I haven't made it to pg. 100 yet but was inspired to attempt to summarize the main idea in the verses above...Enjoy:-)

A life lived among thorn
A Rose on valentines day born
Unconditional love she did give
Though days few she did live

Though her smiles be few
Her smile a morning dew
Her role in Tis life played
Yet her love never strayed

For to love Tis world mark a day
Still her love unmatched all the way
To her love oh never to repay
A Rose born on valentines day
A tribute to my long departed mom who was born on February 14th
All I am and what is because of her love

Is it evil or is it right
The death we face at the end of life?
Is there peace and all knowing
Do we reap the seeds we're sowing

Hear now the reaper's reasoning
Dust and bones, vultures feasting
Driven by an unknown calling
Life to death is but a stalling

I can not tell, nor can I dream
I can not feel your suffering
I can not ease your loved one's grief
Nor can I confirm your disbelief...

I am only a Reaper, heartless and cold
I put the end to growing old!
