I don't want your money darling
I just want your attention

Hot summer days & pop-up campers,
Dad with his chef hat
& Mum's lemonade.
We didn't even know it,
had it made in the shade.
Red checkerboard &
picnic chairs,
burgers & chips &
& big sister's
sweet oatmeal cookies.
Blow-up pool dragons
lay at our feet,
life was so idyllic,
& it ain't never coming back.
Makes me sick.

***
the other day we talked about ***

about how much you wanted it

and about how much i wanted it too

and ever since all i can think about is us having *** with each other

and i want it so bad

and i want to tell you in hope that you want it too

but i cant

because i cant risk losing what we have

because you mean more to mean that any other human on this planet

and i love you with all my heart

and i want to give more of myself to you

but im afraid you wont give it back
I kinda **** a poetry but hey I try at least.

Hollow
People become...
...and that's it
There is nothing less complicated
Than understanding this
Or rather, accepting it

There is no below or above
There is only the middle ground
From where first thought is cast
But not set in permanence

There was never a bronze lining
Nor was there a gold one
Just a dull silver
From where we all begin to become

Life cannot be measured
Because the past doesn't exist
And the future is now

She ran away
from her loving home
to make a statement.
Her concerned parents,
her Mommy & Daddy,
meant no real harm,
they only wanted
the music turned down low
after midnight.

Running loose outside the flock,
she became nothing
but wolves' meat,
a tasty morsel
for the horde of traffickers
making statements of their own.

And now she lies flat on her back,
has joined the growing ranks,
locked away unsmiling
in the shadows of the big mean-city.
It ain't pretty,
living in debauchery,
where piles of ***** money
are exchanged between
greedy grubby lusting-paws.

She feels the weight
of a sick world
ten to twenty times a day
& sometimes more.
It's not called love there,
it's a steady business
listening to loud music
long after the sun sets
& way past midnight,
a fallen lamb
misses home.
It's a nasty business-***-slave trafficking.

The Truth

Why is the truth so hard to hear
When we say it's what we want
Just knowing that once it's heard
It can never be undone

We say it matters most of all
It's what we look for most
Find a reason to not believe
Think it's not worth the cost

We seek the truth from others
Demand that it come out
Then refuse to look deep within
And hide it from ourselves

The truth can sometimes set us free
It is what life's about
We must take our time and listen
And just let the truth come out

Carl Joseph Roberts
This poem written as shooting and riots rock the St. Louis area. No matter what side you are on, let the courts decide and don't riot and destroy. Hear all the facts from both sides and remember the old saying that two wrongs don't make a right. Let the truth come out, but realize you may not always like or want to hear the truth.

It's okay
To do without
When it's providing
Nothing
Within

Sir, nature never had a chance
Against mans avid greed
All she did was natural
In spreading annual seeds
Yet man came along and ***** her
Destroyed what she produced
And it never made the headlines
Was not even local news
The blossoms that she made
That fed the bees and birds
Those blossoms are no more
Because part or natures dead
I speak here now on her behalf
To try to stop the rot
Man has had his bounty
But now it has to stop
Sir think about what nature gives
About the bounty she provides
You must decide your honour
If nature lives or if she dies
Do you really want to see
Concrete blocks instead of trees
Our lovely ground rent by open cast
No more birds to sing for us
Sir the choice is up to you
Tower blocks or a pristine view
Decide sir how it going to be
Oil wells or fresh green trees

Hold your breathe. Stop there.
**** in. Rely on air.
Don't eat. Watch your weight.
Be quiet. Don't stay up late.
Drink you water. Wash your face.
Shut up. Don't be a disgrace.
Don't smile at him! Do you know who he is?
Like a man who knows where his money is.
Shoulders back. Head up high.
Cross your legs and be polite.
Oh my! You gained a pound, you're going in a diet.
Always read, never write.
Those words you express are never right.
Stop crying. Your makeup is ruined.
Stop now. I can feel the trouble brewing.
Stop being who you are. Be who I said to be.
Why do you insist on messing up? Listen to me!
Thank goodness, you finally gave up.
Don't be you, listen to society!
My dears, these razors are not for wrists but for your legs.
Why would I use them there when I rather be dead?
Thank y'all for 10,000 views! :) I love y'all <3

Shaded Lamp
Freedom?
Free from *******?
Hypocritical beings we all are
striving for freedom
whilst robbing it from others.
Chanting our version
Dismissing others interpretation
Freedom?
Free from *******?
The ******* we happily vote for
again and again and again
The tyranny of armed law enforcement
trained only to obey
to make you obey
Freedom?
This bubble of life is a prison in space
just waiting to pop!
Those with the power are holding a needle
to our bubble's surface...
threatening
forever threatening.
Freedom?
Freedom is a dark place six feet down
hidden from most laws...
but not all.

Bullet and blade
Have ended
Many a friend.

Some were warriors
Living by sword, others
Just unlucky.

No one safe from
Anything. I buy her
Pepperspray instead of

Flowers these days.
Keep leaving
Butterfly knives in the

Pockets of her coats.
I am a man of non-violence,
But one with worlds to lose.

I miss the days when the fight
Ended as ground was hit.
Knuckles and bones were

All we needed; men fencing
For themselves with nothing
But themselves,

And women were there to be
Charmed and fought over. Not
Left torn and terrified

In a ditch, broken beyond repair,
Their men helplessly wielding
Lead and steel at the absence

Of the animal responsible.
I'll buy her flowers today.
Flowers, and walk her home.

Bullet and blade
Have ended
Many a friend.

The weight of their
Tragedies is about the
Same

As that of the crates of ammunition
It takes to keep the world
Safe from the threat of itself.
