Take flight yellow Moon from west to east
Tint this sleepy town as you please
Turn ramshackle eyesores into haunted houses
Blight avenues into golden hallways
Rusted train tracks become shining silver trails
Dank , foggy horizons turn to mighty Windjammer sails* ...

We run with flames in our hearts
in our hands
in our voices
in the lands,
We stand on the rocks letting people know that
we are here
that we don't stand for us
that we stand for them
we've—been here
we've—slept here
we've—loved the soil
every inch of its worth—here.
And to think that we'd step off our Rock, now?
For every one of us that They knock down
They exude monsters out of the cracks in Their teeth
laughter roars
money pours
They've created unspeakable wars
Let us be.

betterdays
as i thresh
              and winnow,
           the words of my heart;

anger and scorn,
             become chaff
                         set upon the
                     blustering winds.

and love remains,
                         golden seeds
left,
to nourish
               and grow
                crops of life,
                   love and laughter.
Warriors can be dragged through the dirt, but still come out pure - they become one with the earth.

Warriors can have their roots pulled out from under them, but still stand strong and tall - they know their worth.

Warriors can be beat down to the ground, and be walked upon,
but while they're down there, they'll look up to the stars and continue to dream on...

Because warriors can handle their business - their inner light shines brightly, through any darkness; they've seen it all, they're prepared to take anything on!

They're not looking for sympathy, they've given up on the idea of believing that outside forces will come forth and bring any kind of soul healing salvation,

They've learned that they can only depend on themselves - they've had no choice but to become a soldier for justification.

They're armed with resilience, empathy, kindness, compassion, and experience - but they won't stand for hypocritical thinkers,

They've met and battled with the worst - they won't tolerate degradation from rotten, evil, ***** stinkers!

Warriors will be your very best friend until the very last second of the end...

Take my advice... don't mistake their kindness for weakness - because warriors are always ready to bring on a revolutionary war - they're always ready to defend!

In my world i never been
able to say i have love.
I guess I'm just a shut-in
who never got to enjoys the
affection of someone special.
Someone who treats me better,
& cherished me - like
someone who's
deserving
to be
loved.

So in the end
I built too many walls,
too insecure to be vulnerable
and very much afraid
to be heartily
naked.

truth be told, raw feeling.

the sun was just rising
i too was just rising
yet my spirit was falling
my bags were packed
and my mind was set
on a course that lacked
the verve of earlier days
one nostalgic look back
and i really was done
the terrain had changed
and so i hit the trail
raising only a whiff of dust
Dear Friends on hellopoetry, I've had a super time here and everyone has just been so superb, but i'm beginning to feel the blues of diminishing returns. Allow me to quote from Leonard Cohen's last letter to the love of his life, Marianne, "See you down the road."

Wind beats a weathered home
While snow falls on warm lashes
Toes curl in old boots trying to wake numb toes
Finally a lone car parks
She steps out and walks into the little café with a ding ding
He looks up from his empty cup
Their eyes lock
He looks away from those enchanting eyes, blushing
A small smile passes her lips as she orders
He can't stop watching in awe at this curious girl
She's polite and talks with the busy barista
All too quickly her bitter coffee comes
She only gives a wave and is out the door with a ding ding
Barely thinking he bursts out the little café
He looks left then right, but she's already gone
As she left in that lone car he thought, what could have happened?
What if he was two seconds sooner?
How different would their story be?
But now it's just the story of an almost...
And there are so many of those
