Valsa George
Rain beats down on the window pane
As the flood gates of Heaven suddenly open
It is pouring out in torrential flow
Like a Reservoir, all at once, broken

It has come down as a welcome respite
To fan away the humid sweltering heat
It falls in drops and flows in rivulets
Washing the dust of summer drought

With a sudden burst from the weight laden clouds
It lashes down in steam and fury
Plummeting to form ripples in puddles
And filling pools and ponds in hurry

In slanting sheets, it almost pounds
Flooding roads and making puddle
Gushing through pipes and rushing down drains
Water floods, causing men to waddle

Rain has its abode in heavens so high
And hides behind clouds of mournful gloom
In silver strings, it spans the Earth
And cleanses the plants in resplendent gleam

Sudden is the wind, coming to shoo away the clouds
And the sky is once more cerulean blue
As the music stops and the humdrum stills
The water seeps, giving no evident clue.

After an angry couple’s furious fight,
As the house goes back to an uncanny calm,
The rain has vanished, leaving little trace
Cooling the Earth and causing no harm
Sorry friends....... there is a problem with my site ! My computer goes so slow when it comes to Hello poetry. So I am not in a position to post comments or respond to comments. I shall do it when my computer becomes better. Thanks for reading and commenting! After a long gap, only today I got the option... 'Add' a poem!

The weary mind in turmoil writhes
and slumber will not come.
The moonlight seeps
like latticed withered vines.
I listen to my heartbeat,
in the silence like a drum,
And through my shuttered eyes....
see strange designs.
The night will not take me prisoner,
and bind me to restful sleep.
No dreams, or any respite,
no way, my soul to keep.
Groaning as I turn myself
to rest beleaguered pain,
I stretch to ease
my tortured back and sigh.
Then I fluff my pillow
to deactivate my speeding brain...
Rolling in the covers,
as my body sweats and strains,
seeking to lose myself,
discarding all, my pains

But my eyes are wide...
and still the question..."Why?"

To think about it
I have seen the whole thing
Hell, I've seen it come
Into this world
And I seen it leave
I seen the passion
That every breath breaths
In the face of cold reality

And here in the middle
I've been beneath
I held on to heart ache
Been kicked in the teeth
But tomorrow is here
At the end of the road
Now, I'll do some living
With this heart of gold

cures range from ice packs to an anti-inflammatory diet
to a blunt to a long walk with a dog
to a fifth of JD to writing sonnets or listening
to some badass Miles Davis blues and
work has its way of lessening the impacts
of those tendernitis
symptons that include
pounding hearts
intense sweating
headaches
dizziness
frequent urination (my **** Dog has this)
work hard physical labor
lifting 100 50 lb bags of mortar off the backass of a van
then 50 boxes of porcelain
has a way of making one's back
make one's head too tired to fret
and ignore the dog **** in the corner
and just come  in and
grab a beer light a blunt, sniff a line, snort
shoot up, whatever your pleasure,
just pat her head and let her jump all over you
(***** *** feet she has)
and sit on the couch
sipping --pause the world revolving for a minute--
getting tender is for painters

I was too long in the dark
Craving the sky to run my lips over.
I never owned a sun
So I set myself on fire.
(And now I burn in desire)
