Roses, Roses, Roses
Yellow, pink and red
Dreaming in a flower bed

Ducks afloat
upon the pond
Gliding graceful
To and fro
Searching for a piece of bread
Thrown from the pier
on which two children perch.

While I may search

for peace, of which I don't deserve
for struggling through this unforgiving world
for making many errors on the way

But, now it's done
I see so clearly
There's only peace
a price so dearly
paid for me by One

Brick, by brick, by brick
We build our hearts like small homes
Settle down in mine
True love dawns once in a life time
And in our hearts forever chime

You're written in God's perfect image
and the mundane words
I pen down
will never capture the allure
of you.
God didn't require editing.
Write poetry about all the beautiful things I may never have

.

The rain has stopped,

the sun is shining bright
in blue September skies

and she is happy,
making the world

a more beautiful place

wherever she smiles

Tell me
Whisper in my ear
The love in your heart
Show me
Open affection
In the face of all
Love me
Out loud

I repaint the Sistine Chapel with only my tongue
just to see your face again.
Oh, your holy chocolate covered soul,
holy bird bone finger tips.
How you snap like a star and then burn again.
