Your Raven black hair
Glistens in spotted sun,
Is lighter than air, combing
Through my weightless lungs,

Your ocean blue eyes
Are craven to my desires,
Rich and salty with true light
I pray our skin sets each to fire,

Your touch is want of mine,
My body craves loudest flame,
Hear my breaths, seethe alive,
Our heats frozen, love untamed.

PaperclipPoems
His arms held me so tight that I could not escape
His kisses kidnapped me
His smile captured my heart

But he freed me.
And that is what made me solely his.

I remember that song we sang
Back in 1962
We never thought we'd see
changes like that
Like the ones that we lived through

And I remember that song we sang
Back in 1975
The war was finally over then
And we stopped getting high

I remember that song we sang
Back in 1982
The one that made our eyes well up
And flow the mourning dew

I remembered you today
In each and every way
How the lights and the stars would dance
When you walked that way

Victoria, I wish I knew
and I wish how I could say
All the things that I felt for you
Well, they never went away

Even now, when I hear your tune
Hummingbirds feel love that way
And no, I can't ever have you back
But, a man can dream away
Dream away, anyway

I still remember that song we sang
And I sing it every day
I still remember that song we sang
And I sing it every day
Every day

The song has ended
and faded into the silent night
it lives on forever
in the lovers' hearts--true love never takes flight

only resides to endear and charm
to rekindle desire--beyond the pale of words and time-
ah, my beloved,  be my ever-shining light
as we embrace and abide in the eternally sublime.

My body is a lighthouse
Desperately, searching
For her in the darkness
Hoping that the yellow
Light leads her back to me

And you remind me of every person I know and love.

If you can live long enough,
Life will teach you how to live,
And in the moment we'll grow.

And all I can give
Is nothing more than the truth
As we reap what we sow.

I guess it's true what they say,
You live and learn,

Misguided youth now we wait and burn,

I guess it's true that it's easier to fake than it is to actually do.

The devil disguised in the roots,
I watched him grow inside of you.
Inspite of you, I was inspired by you,

But
I was just passing through,
Transparent apparently on a path led with tangled leaves,
Tread into the ground.

I guess it's true that were bounded by love.
As the seasons changed so did the reasons to fall.

And I fell for you implicitly,
like rain drops from clouds.

lluvia de abril
I forget what speaks louder of you;
if it is the hunger of my lips
longing to kiss you
or the kiss waiting discretely
to be born from yours
swaying on the verge of vulnerability

I forget if it is the kiss
that tender
and irresistible
becomes unbreakable;
your soul’s assent

or if it is the words in note
the morning writes and you erase
in an innocent attempt to
hesitate your truth
pausing at its tip

or the shrug
off your left shoulder blade
that briefly masks your will
before it is abandoned
at the edge of quiet moments
when you heed without refrain

It is the candidness of silence wept
to carry the ripest, sweetest kiss
onto my wanting lips
without disturbing yours
 in truth
unrelentingly
and quietly insatiable
