I hold you tight up against my body
I take you with me even to the party

I rub you back and forth
Up and down from south to north

I love the way you sing hard and soft
I just can't keep my hands off

I pull you close
From coast to coast

You are beautifully sound
I will never pass you around

Magnificently perfect
You have all of my respect

You are my best friend
Till the end

In life, there are usually
more than two-sides
to every story - but they are only accompaniments
to the two main dishes
that were ordered first up.

One must always make certain
of who the chef responsible
for cooking up the storm is,
and one must beware
of who the waiter or waitress is,
who is serving it up!

Silly thought that entered my head.
Not a poem, just a thought!
Awareness:
It holds hands with inner pain.

Knowledge of over-knowing
Causes the soul exhausting,
Excruciating strain.

Oblivion:
A blissful state of freedom,
Away from mental-stress and anxiety.

Oblivion:
Nothing much can touch us,
Our own thoughts and opinions
Are our first priority.

Oblivion:
What people think of us
Does not exist.

Oblivion:
Being unaware of situations
That are going on around us;
A wish that many people
Have on their list.

Sometimes I wonder... "Is it better to be oblivious and unaware? Is knowing too much destroying our inner peace?"
Just a serious thought that I already know the answer to - I'm just thinking out-loud.
Oblivion doesn't work! ... But knowing this doesn't make us not want it at times.
I once quoted (a few years back) ...
"It takes a very strong woman
to remain gentle!"

...believe me, I wasn't wrong!

This kind of special woman
must be equal parts of gentleness
and strength - this is what makes
a warrior of a woman emotionally strong!

She must be kind,
tender and sensitive -
and she must know her total value
and self-worth,

She must be brave,
courageous and self-disciplined -
but she must also be empathetic and kind towards herself--as well as with
everyone else on earth!

"It takes a very strong woman
to remain gentle!"

...this is my little secret,
for a woman to find self-happiness,

She mustn't let the world
turn her sour - in keeping with this,
she will never, ever lose
her loving tenderness,
her precious sweetness,
or her delicate, unique softness.

Always trying to self-inspire.
One can never be strong enough
In this cruel, unkind world!

Rain never came around here anymore
Rain had become a legend
A fairytale of sorts

Rain was just another fantastic dream
Older folks shared with their children
A beautiful  little fantasy

Rain was like Santa Claus,
the easter bunny, and the tooth fairy
All rolled into one

Rain was never real, that was all a lie
Who could ever believe,
water once fell from the sky

Until one fine day unlike any other,
a few drops fell from a cloud
producing the finest of fragrances

And the people all became high and giddy
Some so excited and disoriented,
you would think they drank liquor

And when they all passed out
laying on the ground,
the rain continued falling down
Rain is a very special gift

Hmm?

(sonnet #MMMMMCMLXXXVI)

Distracted, aye as wont.  With half a sense
Of yonder pinned to five small minutes' tale.
As bitter air looks out from blue skies' pale
Mien and the maples whisper of suspense,
Orange-kissed or flaunting yellow in defense,
Go count the florets:  seven pinks detail
The stoney passage is't?  Four whites.  How frail
Their stance now drier stalks rasp over whence.
Yes, phlox.  Do peony bushes change in tour
With dusky red leaves, how my niece points to
Lacrima's echo tangrine globes as twere
Hang from, and I peg hopes to Shaun as who
Does not laugh oft, I guess.  Tell me it's poor.
And count the days 'til I shall see him too.

I can't think what you're supposed to put here.  You can arrive at something, how's that?

Busbar Dancer
Pleiades,
hot blue and extremely luminous.
From across the blackest ocean
seven sisters call, but
just three are putting out and
only one loves me.
That's okay...
She's been my favorite
since she said,
"It takes a mighty rocket
to pierce the night sky and
****** into space."
******* right.
I write my atheist gospels
using only the letters of her name.
I collect the relics
of long dead nova clusters
to construct The Grand Heart Emoji.
And if I never make it back to space
maybe one day
we can hold hands
in San Diego.

.
We were stormy, at arms,
So brave on the heather bluffs,
Starry eyes would nae surrender,
Nor great battered seas, to us above.

You took me with a shy shrug,
My flesh broke about violet skies,
I rushed to greet your body greedy
On dizzy bluffs, so dangerously high.

I could not move away from you,
So tangled were we becoming near,
Your touch was rapier, on fire, lethal,
My heart was stricken, punctured there.

In one just moment we destroyed
Each other, blood laden within bliss,
Both of us conquered on the sea bluffs,
Rivals implode to smithereens, by first kiss.
