cast off the coat
of the last eight years
cast off the coat
leave behind the arrears
cast off the coat
a new dawn appears
cast off the coat
the road ahead clears*

change who tillers
the admin's
ship
bring in a fresher
governance's
clip

Washington's clock ticks
with a timing so loud
pleading to the people
lift the heavy shroud

too long
an incumbency
too long its stay
staying for many
a long day

cast off the coat
of the last eight years
cast off the coat
leave behind the arrears
cast off the coat
a new dawn appears
cast off the coat
*the road ahead clears

Ja
When sunshine hits my window
Its beams dispense their plume
Just like you, light up my heart
By entering the room
BOEMS BY JA 622
The fiery wind burns our skin
this simmering summer noon
but our resolve is not paper thin.

the river is all ours
I tell her
and she whispers love notes.

When we retreat under the banyan
she scans the grey for clouds
and I her eyes for a mystic hint.

how lovely it would be
if it rains now

she says.

it would
I swear by the river.

We walk away
dreaming good crop
swaying in the river wind.

In this darkly pit
Despair hast made love to mine
Bones, a soul floating hopelessly,
Tired; ready to let go.

Though God reminded me
"Patience mine son"
Patience.

For there's hope afresh
The morrow; Jane, I'll
Forever loveth thee,
Now and always
Betwixt mine
Sorrows.

Betwixt is between.
Hast is has.
Morrow is tomorrow.
Afresh- fresh or new.
Loveth is love
Mine is my
Thee is you

.
All the sea is lighted
And the sky above flashes,
Rains down on me, innocently,
Cupped as my new prayer hands
Are cupped like flowers, drunken,
The water falls from places higher
High as heavens only dreamt of,
I will stay here, low stationed -
For you my love, something,
Precious, yet to come.

I would like to say that I am not selfish
but I would be wrong
I think we are all born this way
and before you disagree with me
Think about it....
We are all constantly in the
Pursuit of Happiness
We want to escape from whatever
is making us unhappy or suffering
No one wants to be miserable (all the time)
There are lots of ways to do this
There are many choices out there
Even when you are thinking of others
It is of some benefit to you
because making others happy
Makes yourself happy
This is just the way I see it
I know some will disagree and that is okay
It doesn't make us bad people
To want to be happy
It just makes us human

Sobering
The impact reason
Has on reality
Surely the access to
Thankfulness
Leads through
The door
Of togetherness
Down the empathy
Of continuity within
There we will ascend...

In the one thousandth
Subatomic cohesion
You walked close to me
Spoke softly
Opened the other realms door
Set the red dragonflies free
Fluttering wings
Brushing entities
Orphic embrace
Commixing like lace
Weaving
Siezeing
The southbound breeze

Within the centre of your being
May you find peace
Every act of unconditional love
Echoes in eternity
Spread your wings and dance
Dreams into reality
If your situation  won't change
Then change yourself
The optimist is often as wrong
As the pessimist
But he is far far happier
Choose happiness

A kiss for a every tear,
A hug for every fear,
A hand to hold always,
An iced tea for hot days,

I can't offer you the stars,
They wouldn't do much for your scars,
I can't promise everything will be okay,
But I assure you one thing - I will always stay
Well I have to be honest,
As much as I want it;
I'm not gonna promise that cold winds won't blow.
But when hard times have found you,
your fear surrounds you, wrap my love around you;
You're never alone.

- Never Alone, Lady Antebellum
