She was fruity,
     subtle aromas
fermented from her.

Watering her own garden.
                 but never letting
other taste her fruits.

Even though she was seeded
           with much delicate tastes
no other would pick upon them.

She wasn't *****,
        wanting the right person
to pick her seed and let it blossom.

South-by-Southwest
If you cast away your dreams
To the tides of the Ocean
To the Earth of Creation
To the birth of Mankind

There will never be sleep
In the valleys of redemption
On the pages of the book
The story of your life

You will walk alone in darkness
Stumble upon your thoughts
That you created in silver
From the Sun's Moonlight

Your path will be forsaken
By the clouds of the times
Your sparrow will wing it
And it will wing it alone

So open up to the truth
Let the vines climb out
Reach up and touch
The soul found inside

First you must step into
The void of the future
May it bend the hardwires
And light up your youth

The boxes
which keep my blood clean
are stacked as tall as I,
a monument
in the spare room
to past battles.
Too many words,
too many thoughts
******* in the
hand-to-hand combat
with mortality.

No more.

What life I have
will not be defined
by an indeterminate end.

I live to write poems;
I will no longer die in them.
Camus knows.

You’re 24
Inside you’re colder then the morning tide
And the anger you carry around
Hotter then the sunrise
It’s been awhile since another has made your heart soar
Maybe that’s why your hide
Is thicker then a Russian boar
So caught up in not getting emotionally attached
You lost that thing that made you human
Buried everything down so deep
That the soil weeps
Keep this up
And you’ll die before you ever feel your heartbeat

Scared of the dark
Sleep with the lights on
Afraid of what creeps in the night
Double chains so no one gets in
Disfigured
Mental
Demons aren’t real
But what walks the earth
Might just be the thing
That drags you away and tear you apart
Rips you limb from limb
Pluck your eyelashes one by one
What a nuisance
Step over you like loose ends
Demeaning remarks if you not to thin
Born to lose if your skin is to dark
Shots fired
Everyone run
He’s got a gun
But you all pulled the trigger
He hates himself on the inside
So does she
Body shamed her cause her skin hung to low
Now she hangs from the ceiling
And her feet don’t touch the floor
Words hurt
Not everyone one is as strong as you
Fighting ourself
While trying to fight the world too
Round and round we go
It’ll never stop
There’s no such things as demons
But monsters are real
Because
All Monsters Are Human

He’s no longer responding
It’s perplexing
Because no one knows why
Yesterday he was doing just fine
And in this room it’s frightening quite
Because everyone knows he’s about to die
His mother angrily yells at the doctor
While she stands over his bed
Why! Why!
My baby
This is my son
And he’s not going to die

I can hear her repeating my name
But the sounds of the world has finally gone mute
And the lights of the room ceiling
Slowly
Fade to black
And if you crying over my shoulder right now
I’m sorry
I tried to fight it
But I just couldn’t fight my way back
I was to lost
Let myself be overcome with pain and misery
Unhappiness was my purgatory
But at what cost
My life
Yes my life
I gave it away
I’d do anything just to feel a little less
It’s why I injected myself
With an illegal amount
Of morphine

I hear it
half in the bag of blankets
with an empty glass of wine
dumped
Between--
the furnace rumbling on
and the cat purring on my lap

"What the hell!"

That foreign sound!--

...of water in the winter
Far too cold for rain
more like a forest stream's refrain
I start to think of birds-- Then it occurs

I have a problem in the basement

Wading into the waters of Lake Laundry
Glancing warily for those snakes of wires
suspended from their rafter's limbs
about to spit and snag me
with their lightning strike

Slamming that ****
to make it go--
away--

Defeat
dripping off
jeans and unders
A clothes line pinned
with curses

Ah yes.
The smell of the Tide ...
going out
on another day
Anything can be a poem.

We are all zombies
          of the institution,
when will stop following
the others that walk through
life feeding of others misfortune..

Break the shackles of life,
               don't walk, run free.
Be yourself not a clone stumbling
on roads to no where..
Walk paths that others fear to tread.

Will you look my way
touch me
be by me
don't just be a friend.

That's what it takes
from your heart
shoot me in my leg
its the only in my body that works

tap it four times
look for'for blue

skys inside out
pink is blue
lemon head
you listen to blood in my vein
that woman tell her
it is better by you than me
better by you than it is better by me
better to find
than today.
If you like this let me know.

Love P@ul.

Loves doesn’t last forever
But a broken heart does
My heart was already in pieces
Before love ever invaded me
Now I’m loveless and heartless
Hoping that’s happiness is getting closer with every breath I breathe
