Is it just a hue
Or
Is the mountain actually blue

The sea and the lake too
Is imbued by the sky’s blue

I love the colour too
Yes it has to be teal and aqua blue

Yellow is so bright and right
Inspired by the sunlight

Red speaks of passion and rage
Sure, I am no sage

Colours bright, dark or light
In every hue, have a place of their own
Got to love them all
Inspired by a photo of a mountain in blue hues :)

Hey ! I'm on top of the world
I dug your grave and now I'm
Going to have a burial

I dug it deep hoping it will keep
You from bothering me

One , two , three and heave **
Into eternity you must go

Who's laughing now ?
All your a-musing antics
Who's a-mused now
You alphabetical cow

You're shivering as I throw the dirt down
So you see you can't win
You ***** muse I've more than one way to pen

There! All covered and bound
Those binders will remain closed below the ground
Those Hell hounds will
howl no more

I didn't really want to . . .
I didn't want to go back there . . .
I didn't want to test it
You see I still have
all of my fears

Still I couldn't help it . . .
I hit the button play . . .
And as the music started
Please God I prayed

The room turned to purple
As Prince began to play
I looked back upon the memories
Of a love I held once upon that day

As the purple rain fell in torrents
My purple tears began to fall
Now all I have to hold on to
Is the music between these walls

"I didn't want to hurt you
I didn't want to cause you any pain"

And as the tears turned into rivers
They overflow with purple pain

Black nights of assassins
Never meaning to bend
Messages are pending
Left unopened in the end

The words are unfolding
Take shape as they fall
There is no more reason
Beyond mending walls

Beauty is always hidden
like sin
Just to be forgiven
If not for now then when

In the cold and the torment
That placated the night
The moon is no more
Than truth's reflection in
light

And I wonder about
Black nights of assassains
Hidden in dark corners
nursing their treasons

This place is now an empty shell
A remnant of my changing self
A colored, gilded chrysalis
That hides what beneath is amiss
And yet I still feel this passion
But in a muted, far fashion
As the strange lights overhead drone
A growing des're to go home
I still have a lot of the same feelings I did about this place before I left, but even though they're still strong, they feel less pressing/more distant than when I lived here.

A river collects debris and silt along its way
the leavings, limbs, the trash-- all of it
trinkets of its travels
deposits delta of another day

It does not choose its wanderings, its depth--
nor decides the sculpture of its bed
whose contours lend it
force and transitory power--

Its learning journey
ceaseless....

Change is in its element

A good storm will force its rise
into someone you do not recognize
and maybe wish you never met

Night sits on my chest
Squeezes poems out of me
And grinds my poor soul

this tear
starts here
deep within my heart
the loneliest part
keeping clear
the pathway for my tear

makes its way
to my face
no other way to go
but through the lump in my throat
at a steady pace
as this tear finds its way

into the chilled air
free and clear
then down along
a path well worn
this tear
ends here
