Tender fingers caress,
Ethereal wings sprout on;
Psychedelic flight!

I used to draw a lot of robots: little vestiges of future moments that trickled out of my pen with a tangible lack of precision and an air of false reality.
Now
I can barely create a thing,
But
For the air exhaled from my
Lungs
And the desperation with which I cling to this
World.

Hidden within the Sacred Heart.
Hermit, anchorite, singlet,
the old, the sick, the dying
the martyr, those suffering
because of their art, the
misunderstood, the scapegoat,
the outcast, the downtrodden,
the sinner, the saints, the angels,
the ordinary everyday lives
of all Mankind, all creation,
all creatures, all life.

Can we at this Thanksgiving time
Put all our differences aside
And not worry about who did what or when
Coming together as the family of man

All sit around the table
As we pass the plate
Saying as
We're also giving grace

Forgiving those
That have done us wrong
While asking them
To forgive us

Being thankful for
Every breath we take
As we realize
It's all for heaven's sake

Giving praise
Every single day
Knowing how easily
It can all be taken away

Can we at this Thanksgiving time
Put all our differences aside
And not worry about who did what or when
Coming together as the family of man
