This days name is special
The world no longer is forlorn
Celebration amongst the many
Love and laughter has been born

There's a crispness in the air
On this, the mortal side of life
The newest fairy to be born
In a magic dust cloud she arrived

Such beauty in the sparkle
Of this the greatest of fairy smiles
Melts the hearts of those that love
The meaning of this new born child

A day like this, there is no other
Letting all our worries go
Coming together for celebration
On this day "special" as it's now known
Iv'e written several poems about fairydust this is obviously a celebration of her birth. Maybe I should have started it all out with this one but it is what it is...
Throw away girl the parasol
rain wanna kiss your skin
then seep slowly into your soul
settle in love therein.

You don't need girl the parasol
rain longs to touch your face
then take in your heart a quiet stroll
etch there for love a warm place.

Don't walk girl with the parasol
rain is begging for a chance
for your embrace he's blazing coal
burning to wipe out the distance.

Drop girl the parasol on the way
and see the rain's yearning stare
he is falling for your love today
with his heart for you bared.
I drag myself up from deep sleep, make a cup and sit
down at the table, eyes still half shut,
put the radio on,FM one twenty one and
the music drifts slowly, stirs into my coffee,
I drink and it brings me to life.
Today is a new day, a Tuesday,I'll use it up carefully
one step at a time, don't want to waste it,want to savour
and taste it,be thrilled by it,chilled by it,live through and
look back on it and
tonight when the Sun dies making tracks into my eyes,
will be a memory of a Tuesday,
well spent.

Jack
I am but a weary minstrel
Step by step to bide my time
Looking for my one true answer
In a love that I may find

Shaded fields of hopes and wishes
Flowing stems so softly breathe
Taking all that life does offer
Forward weavings to believe

I have found the golden idol
Sitting still in chamber’d light
Reaching off for some existence
Far beneath the stars at night

With its eyes of diamond whispers
Only now it sheds my fear
Precious metals tore us under
As I search the far and near

What is this my heart now calling
Echoes play about the rim
If this line of worn endeavors
Finds the time to soon begin

Will you walk with me at sunrise
Whisper that you love me so
Count the petals of a daisy
Set aside against the flow

For you see my truth is baring
Everything that I can share
Take my hand and please remember
I am but a man who cares

In this endless dream of summer
Warming trends eternally
You are mine, my only sunshine
Won’t you walk this road with me

It's been a month of Sundays
Since it is that I set face
Anywhere near this band of angels
In this most Holy Sacred Place

Guilt may overwhelm me
Shame may do me in
This day set forth may break me
Great sinner that I am

No one is less deserving
For I am the least of these
As I am covered in God's glory
Awashed with an inner peace

The days that I've been vacant
Are all apart in the grand scheme of things
Bringing me to my knees in my need of saving
And back to the Eternal King

As my brothers and sisters in Christ surround me
Pouring out love, not ones to judge
Tears of joy like flowing fountains
As another Prodigal son returns
If your one of those that for some reason or another have left the Church and keep thinking I need to get back...today's the day.

Please sit back and relax
With ticket in your hand
Have passport at the ready
As we enter into Bazaroland

Where nothing is now as it was
Nor ever will it be
This crazy stuff you can't make up
Even in your wildest dreams

Where fingers do the talking
And kidneys are sold for iPad's
Blood sold for upgrades
Welcome to the new trade

Where women take women for husbands
And men take men as wives
Where morals have flown out the window
And normalcy runs for its life

Hypocrisy of a nation
Wanting homeless spikes removed
So we can continue to be ignorant
Walk past without a glance

Endless secrets and deep set lies
Unimaginable trials
Kids being corrupted in their on home
Under the disguise of technology

Where those that help to fill a need
Fill the need of their own greed
Holding the hopeless under the thumb
Pressing down hard until they succumb

Where mothers sell their babies
All for a piece of the rock
Necessity in the making
Without a passing thought

Nothing is now as it seems
Nor ever will it be
This crazy stuff you can't make up
Even in your wildest dreams

So please sit back and try to relax
This ride is gonna be rough
Have passport at the ready
It's Bazaroland or bust
Another wonderful time writing with Simpleton!
Always a pleasure my friend!

Night Flyer
Rivers flow down towards the bay
And with them, lifetimes swept away
Of cobble stones and windswept sand
And legends of our native land
I walk alone down avenues
Of shifting sands and ocean hues
And faces from another time
From road to sandy bluffs, I climb
Down by the sea, the windy shore
Whispers their names, who are no more
Pale ghosts who wander by the sea
Up from the waves, they call to me
Of whalers, who for glory, yearned
And sailing ships that ne'er returned
Of sailors brave and lovely maids
To them, the ocean serenades
I sip my beer and hear a gull
Lost on these timeless streets of Hull.
Was looking through one of my notebooks and saw a poem that I had started last year after visiting Nantasket Beach in Hull, MA. After reading what I had, I thought it would be more effective as a rhymed poem. This is the result...
