Where has time gone,
It is zero hour,
At the precipice of ages,
Aging and it won't stop.

I see myself younger
In the ocean's reflection
Just below, I would
Jump to him for wisdoms sake.

I am at the edge,
Where ever this might be,
Sidesteps, tip toeing,
Between yesterday and nowhere.
Sometimes when I sit in silence I hear voices
Whispering in my ears, like a breath so quiet you struggle to listen
To the hush you can barely make out words
Shivering down the spine like cold water
Igniting the flesh in goosbumps
My whole body stands at attention
Running a fevered hand across the brow I try to forget
Because sometimes acknowlegement invites trouble.
Poisonous fairytales
Princesses sleeping
True loves first kiss
Secrets not worth keeping
All lies
Mere madness
Cruel truths
Surrounding sadness
Give your heart
Get tears in return
Give love a match
It'll watch you burn
Poisoned by fairytales
Raised on lies
No happily ever afters
It all ends with goodbye
The princesses in towers
Will never be free
And frogs stay frogs
Just kiss one, you'll see
There are no knights
Shining in white
Wishes on falling stars
Don't make things right
Sleeping Beauty and Snow White
Were never kissed and awoke
Prince Charming was a liar
He wasn't rich, he was broke
Poisonous fairytales
Cruel lies
Don't drink the cool-ade
It all ends with goodbye

She tried to speak in poetry
as the hair fell over her face
and the makeup from yesterday started to smudge
so at least one thing she did was
beautiful enough to make someone
want to stay

she tried to make her words send chills
down the spine of men who stole her heart
but what she found was
no matter what order you put the pieces in
you can't put them back together the same way again

she tried to speak in poetry
to fix her broken heart
or to find a new one to hold
she tried to make everything fit into a line
but could not understand how
things would not work out the same way
they did the first time

she tried to talk beautifully,
making every sentence as polished as her final release
and found out the hard way
she missed the beautiful mistakes,
the ones we learn from,
are the ones in the first draft
Tightly forcing her body against the clay
Scraping her tarnished skin, on its unforgiving stones
Determined
Unhinged, narrow thought became disturbed
Intention, soaking the soils energy
Becoming one with nature
Persuit, rapid decaying
No trail of life
Evidence faded
Secluded mountain peak
30 miles in, her only goal accomplished
Her pocket knife she holds over head
Pretending to cut the fluffy clouds in half
One fast Stab
She lays in her vanishing grave
