by brightness
you are my second sun
though your gravity is such
you are
my only one
Gentle whispers on a breezy eve
Past the amber trees and leaves
In the cloudless meadow by the brook
Planted firmly inside a hollowed nook
It’s there I dare to seek out dreams
And eye the fish that swim upstream
I watch in awe
As they persevere
And reflect on all I hold most dear

Some beautiful paths
can't be discovered
without getting lost
We wait anyway
for the day to come,
for the Sun to run out
of time,
thinking then
it will be our time
to shine,

I wonder.
Thinking about getting up,
this may take some time.

slow in the morning
before the coffee kicks in
but
when it happens
I'm as sharp as a pin,

and I know this,
that these moments are torments
designed to make us move,

there is no rest for the wicked.
