but forgetting is a harder fight

I write not for you to read
I do it for me to heed

what should I do
I can't stand myself
being so weak
as I try to hide these tears

I became friends with my shadow
it was always there for
it slept by my side
walked with me
danced with me
but it never had emotion
so I gave it mine
as we share our emotions
and our lives
we slowly become one
I fell in love with my shadow
since it will never abandon me
no matter how I am
so I plan to live the rest of m life with it

the sounds of the cars
in this big city
my ears tingling
a cup of coffee

life was just a game at the beginning

but the melody changed from  happy to sad

is what they say  when there's nowhere left to run

as you stare back into mine
