My head is completely blank
Completely dark
Completely blank
Completely uncertain
Completely lost

I feel so lost and misplaced
Where can I fit in?
Where do I really belong?

Her
Her anxiety
              An ocean
                           A wave of emotion
                                                     Rips through her
                                                                          All too often.

It trickles through her everyday
seeping into cracks in her core
small springs turn to gushing floods
in a split second.

She crashes down on me
and I stand
the force of her tide
drowning in her doubt.

Holes eroded by the constant drip;
rapids ricochet through her body
her mind awash;
thoughts tumbling in the whirlpool.

She crashes down on me
and I stand
drenched in her
a lighthouse in the storm.
In An Old Cathedral**

She knelt upon a plank, plain oaken
(sable cloak, her mourning guise),
and sensed the breath of distant sighs,
pale shades of pain behind blue eyes…

While clasping close a cross-like token
(holding hope for those in need)
she prayed her Lord "please intercede,
my woes be washed, my soul be freed"…

Archangels, in the skies evoken
(candles flickered, shadows shivered),
through the panes, the moonlight quivered,
summoned forth, the wish delivered…

Forgotten words he once had spoken
(dimly echoed ’neath the dome)
swept sweetness of the honeycomb
o'er distant realms they used to roam…

At midnight's knell, in dreams awoken,
memories of love unfeigned…
Though loneliness of grief remained,
she still held hope… hope hadn't waned…

And when the dawn had early broken,
by the font, in peace, she lay…
As sudden as a sunset ray,
the light of life had slipped away…
The water lay placid
yet beneath the surface surreptitious dangers went unseen
The waders ignored the well known dangers threatening their feet
As they went deeper the creatures observed
The splashing only inviting the lurking predators
They had been told to take caution avoiding the exposure
Instead they leaped into the jaws of the ingenious monster
Leaving their families without relief nor closure
Creating a scene so treacherous it haunted the dreams of children
Their parents cried out in insurmountable pain
As the onlookers perceived them with unrelenting shame
In everyone's life
There comes a time
When we watch all the pieces shatter
The shards find their way into many feet
and the blood seems to signal a defeat

The scars remain but eventually the pain fades
The stains however are a constant reminder
Of the challenges faced
and the strife that has been conquered

The beauty is found
When the pieces are thrown out
and the mess that once troubled us
Is renounced and without

Through perseverance and unconditional love
There is no telling what we are capable of
I dream of a face that I cant quite place
However I feel I've known it once in vivid detail
I exhale long sighs through out the night
Tossing and turning
Yearning for the love I thought I had found
Divided by uncertainty and a distance too profound
Touching my neck where your breath once fell
Swearing to catch faint drifts of your smell
Imprisoned by my perceptions and reveries
I've created this hell with falsified memories
The weather outside is "Colder Than My Heart, If You Can Imagine" (A Day To Remember)
but that won't stop me from "Bleeding Out" (Imagine Dragons)
and you know I won't be "Happy" (Pharrell Williams)
as I am "Without You Again" (Sam Shaber)
I would never try to force you to "Stay" (Mayday Parade)
don't try to tell me I need "Therapy" (All Time Low)
until you hear "Both Sides Of The Story" (We Are The In Crowd)
you've always told me to be "Brave" (Sara Bareilles)
but now I'm afraid of the "Demons" (Imagine Dragons)
I'm sure we can "Let It Go" (Demi Lovato)
after all we're just "Human" (Christina Perri)
as long as you know "I'll Be"  (Edwin McCain)
more than "Weightless" (All Time Low)
up here like a "Satellite" (Rise Against)
but now you're back so let's "Begin Again" (Taylor Swift)
and "Step" (Vampire Weekend)
to our "First Dance" (Nevershoutnever!)
before we sit together under the "Starlight" (Taylor Swift)
until we're "Out of Time" (A Day To Remember)
If you liked this poem and haven't read my other poem "What Was The Name of That Song" then you should read it if you have a chance.
It's the middle of the day
tears flowing from my eyes
hugging a picture of you
it all came as a surprise
is the reason you don't love me
because I'm so far away
maybe not light-years
but at least a couple days
and these poems I write
all tell the same story
a girl like you
just can't adore me
and I'll just smile the heartbreak away
because I know you're much too sweet
and a heartfelt hug
I'll give if we ever meet
and maybe we won't
fall for eachother
and I may be sad
until I find another
and even if I never
see (see) you again
I can't say I'll be fine right away
but I'm sure me, him and her
will always stop to pen
another poem about how brilliant
you truly are...
I look up to the sky
and what do I see
a shooting star
and its shining for me
but what would happen
if you were that star
would I wonder
just what you are
up high above
shining over this place
I remember how beautiful you were
when your smile lit up your face
a thousand miles
never seemed so far away
you're like a diamond in the sky
but you're invisble during the day
shine bright
my shooting star
how I'll always wonder
what you are...
Whats Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, never heard of it, mustn't be real
