He offered His hands to me then
full of life.
And I willingly kissed His wounds;
Tasting the Blood of eternal Love.

One word following another
and you pray with a great Saint;
pray you are not delusional
and it all makes perfect sense.

one more pill from the doc
and you have to be humble
accept the doc knows their trade

in your insolent arrogance
Your face is hard as steel
cold and ridged

fallen wings spinning out of control
your words bely the truth
with baseless facts

is obvious in the way you walk
away from me
your lust for the way I sing

we collide against each other
all the while like seas crashing
back and forth

the shoulders I’ve cried on
disturb you like an avalanche
tumbling, unfolding, growing old

you find me reaching out from the debris
of our arguments
but our hands no longer cling

misplaced love is quick-sand
slipping, slipping
please take hold now or we are lost

are you a healer of hearts
the acceptance of your part
small sufferings offered up
or are you a tester of love
the one will an evil intent.

stupid living boys
     and their hummingbird hearts.
stupid dead boys
     and their lingering stares.
supermarket polaroids,
     cold apartment poetry,
faded glassy eyes,
     ***** fingernails.

When I close my eyes
I see you
You occupy my mind
my soul, my heart

I close my eyes
I feel I'm inside out
the tide washes my face
I am falling from your grace

There is a ladder to heaven
that leads straight to hell
and I guess I shall thank you
for shoving me the shortest way.
