the freight of fright (one by one)

you don't see them often
out east,
the coupled cars of trains,
so long, one single train, touching,
two borders of one middle-of-the-country-state,
simultaneous

that said,
rode those couplers once or twice,
even now, sitting free fared on uncut lengths of rebar,
quiet humming on my knees, Clapton's Layla,
heading to a city that claims need for another skyscraper

but the freight train I ride and rode a million passenger miles,
so many miles, I ride now gold free for life,
that of course,
a curse,
an ironic joke
on me

the freight of fright,
of waking up tired,
after just having falling asleep
worthy of only short story nightmares,
alligator eaten dreams,
running from and to
the silver bullet band's lullaby;

"running against the wind,
a young man,
running against the wind"

this train, all mind mine,
don't carry no commodities,
no cars or washing machines,
its load is men, mostly me,
carrying grades of fright,
adding on and up a few more rail cars,
in strange cities,
different chemical formulas
but all prime fright, fear,
of waking up, still breathing

guess I can quit here,
no excuse making time to make a tome,
fright comes in small measures,
coupled together, this train,
this tracked, cracked dry riverbed
of a train,
and it goes on bye,
one by one

could be Monday, maybe, or Tuesday, too.
A man, let us call him Tom for reasons that will become better understood later, had 2 nephews. Each one was uglier than the other. A woman, let us refer to her as Tammy for reasons that will be sensibly related later on, had 2 nieces, each young woman was extremely unappealing. One day Tom & Tammy met @ the zoo. They fell in love, married & entered into several rent-to-own schemes @ their local rent-to-own store. Their belief that renting-to-own was a sound belief has been proven time-after-time over the long haul. They've enjoyed affluent lifestyles by renting-to-own the things they need & so should you!

"I trust you"
I whisper as your hand
Moves up my thigh,
You tighten your grip,
Press your lips against mine.
Its like you're trying
To claim me,
To **** the air
Right out of my lungs.
I smile at you,
Unsure as to how far I
Want you to go.
You just pull me to you,
"I thought you trusted me?"
~Sylus
Growing up I was told if you give a situation more thought and worry than it deserves that the doubt is always the answer; because your heart nor your gut would have assembled that doubt otherwise.
from this realization a crucial lesson was thrown into my lap,
if you think twice about loving, the love for you to give was never necessarily there to begin with.
There was a time when I loved and lost-
He was my one solid thought, he intruded my stream of consciousness and left it free of doubt
He, this perfect undeniably warmhearted soul warms the 19 winters that are so compacted within me.
whether he knows it or not.
Until the sky is cast over and the sun rays pass through the atmosphere with ease my love for him will be sealed, awaiting for his curiosity to be restored.
There was a time when I loved and lost, but realized that love had just lost her way.
