Some use their brain like a muscle
those are the ones to avoid, if possible

and how many Bees have lived and died
while you enjoyed the fruit of their labour.

Blood drunk maniacs are thirsty
and another war is right up their street.

Time.
Stopped still.
Still stopped.
Sleeping asleep.
Eyes shut.
No peeping.
Crying in crystals.
Nobody's weeping.
Lost bits and bobs.
Copper knobs.
Plumbing equipment.
Serves other jobs.
Reaching and stretching.
Inside wretched.
Seams made of Lycra,
Shapely formation.
Extraordinary dreams.
Sure things with strangers.
Regardless of dangers.
Not me.

Terracotta soldiers, marching forever.
Still they stay.
Silently rigid.
Entombed long time.
Long time to linger.
Much longer.
Tick tock.
Not rocking.
Faces indifferent to their situation.
Stuck forever.
Not wearing leather boots.
Their own red boots.
They don't wear down.

Dementia

Ian Beckett
A slow death, in eons of unremembered moments,
Like a dark star, she collapses into herself every day,
Fragments of her past memories intrude sometimes,
Incomprehensible now, like they are all in Russian.

This existence she hates more than life itself,
Flowing like an unending river, towards a sea,
Days of sleep, interrupted by family strangers,
Wearing her precious necklace and others’ clothes.

At times I am "Who?", until her son is introduced,
Which produces a "Happy to see you" smile, and
Complaints that no one ever comes to visit now,
She is living in a nightmare of empty spaces.

Her now ungraspable tranquillity, her living hell,
Punished for imagined sin, she now doubts God,
But wants to go home to Him, to ask "Why?”.
She believed the childhood promise of heaven.
My mother lived with dementia for 15 years ... Now she can be remembered for who she was again.

A clown whose real eyes was dried
A mascot who always tells a joke
But how he wished that his neck be choke

She laughed but she cried
A lady whose heart was ripped
At daytime life of her persist
But at night she wanted to cut her wrist

He laughed but he cried
A boy whose been deeply bullied
A smirking kid at home
The saddest child when he's alone

He laughed but he cried
A writer that has a lot of pride
To his readers he play and giggles
But his life is full wiggles

They laughed but they cried
They are lonely but they smiled
