I have so many questions for you
But I don't think I'm prepared for the truth
'Do you love me still?'

We live in a nation where
People prefer to fall asleep
Holding their phones
Instead of their partners
And we wonder why
Romance is dying.

It makes me sad to see how fragile your happiness can be.
I wish I could see you smiling for ever.
Not because you are the most beautiful when you smile, you are still beautiful in your pain.
I just wish you never had to know pain.
I want you to be happy because you deserve it.
For each and everyone of you, you deserve to be happy

when I dropped
your favourite mug
and it shattered
into a thousand pieces
when I spoke
your name
and only silence
was my greeting
when I played
your favourite song
and I couldn't hear
your voice
singing
when I laid down
in bed alone
I didn't feel your touch
just the raw stinging
when I showered
waiting for you
to peek
I stepped out
mute
wrapped in
aloneness
wishing your ghost
could speak
Don't know where this comes from, all I know is it's looking for someone tonight...

Poetry is an art that is kept hold of only tenuously. We must keep it alive or it will be lost forever, in favor of "newer" passions.

As I lay surrounded by only you, I continue to ask myself,"do I not have the right to say I love you?".

The person who wants to hurt you the least
Ends up hurting you the most.
