Fell down
To the ground
Halo’s gone
Skin scarred
Not a human
Now dressed as man
Wings burnt
Heaven sent?
Castaway?
Did he obey
Or betray?
Punishment
Or testament?
Just a random write.
Overheard on the bus, a guy was telling his friend that he dreamt of an angel. I don't know, it really caught my attention. I don't even remember if I ever had a dream about an angel.
There is no candy more lonely
Than a stick of licorice
It's a love hate affair where you do or don't care
That doesn't dare come with a makeup kiss

You can chew on that fact some think nasty at best
While some smile with blackened teeth
You either do or you don't, will or you won't
Think licorice is a scrumpdillyicious treat
The shadows flashed
Blurry in the darkness
Spewing black matter
As the universe started
Time set forth
In linear strides
Fiery hot sparks
Bursting new life
Chunks of rocks
In spiraling patterns
Gravitational pulls
From Suns to Saturn's
And so our existence
Became one big pattern
Traveler Tim
In my dreams
there is a bird
and it sings
all night long
there is a fish
in a river
who's lost
it's memory
a worn work shirt
that smells strongly
of love
there is a man
and a woman
clocking out at dusk
there is someone
I can never remember
and in the Inn
of night
there's a dead man
a stranger
at the window.
surrounded by
shell-glossed earthtones
teals on magenta
images of americana,
from native moccasins to
an embroidered 50 states
(of slices of mind)
engraved tobacco canister,
grandpa’s favorite pipe
crafted crochet blankets
spun out from grandma’s hands
like magic
one antique menorah
lit in holiday memories
books and photos in movie star
glamour mixed with
wild-haired natural
smooth polished woods and
painted cityscape, all
slick rugged cozy
colorful trinkets against
subtle plush
of beige, elegance of
textures in tandem
love’s timeless flame
wrapped around me,
like a flannel blanket
acceptance and welcome
ringing
in my pores like freedom
and I float upon this bed
in my mother’s home,
once mine
(still mine)
as in a river
flowing out tendrils
our bond unbroken
past and present bathing me
in deep-seated roots of caring
what more could a daughter,
now also a mother,
ask for
New York love as I visit my mother's home with my oldest daughter <3
Spilling over the top
Magnolia decorates daylight
Upon minature words
Incased in fluffy clouds
Ones that still softly
Without movement
Where the surface is
In suspended lockdown
Sitting silently inside
Ready to give
The walls a fresh look
Of happiness
To bring smiley faces
Into a new home
Where life positivity
Gives a whole new perceptive
Of nice lazy
Live in the moment days
Inspired by a tin of paint :)
