The Heart Of America

  Together we stand
Divided we fall
All for one
And one for all

This is what was
This was the heart
Beating strong and true
But it’s now broken apart

Now it’s divided we stand
And I don’t care if you fall
There’s no love for thy neighbor
There’s no love at all

Only the strong will survive
There’s no future or hope, it’s just hate
When the weak are dead, they’ll turn
On each other and this is the fate

Destiny when they don’t know how to
Farm or hunt or cook
They think they can take and take
Then they’ll see what they took

I can see the future clear in their world
The farmer is dead and his crop too
His cattle and chickens as well
With nothing to renew

Then they’ll have it all and have nothing
All the money with nothing to buy
The cars the houses no fuel no law
Not a thing no factory for supply

This is the Liberal way
They think this is best
Back to the days
Of the Wild Wild West

**** or be killed
Nothing left to live for or die for
Just empty city streets and barren land
And time ticking away to hell’s door

The liberals, what’s yours is mine
Though they didn’t work a day
But it’s not fair if anyone has it
And they don’t, are the words they say

But in reality when they get what they
Want, they will have nothing at all
Everything will be worthless when it’s
Divided we stand and I don’t care if you fall

Because now there’s no love
Only hate and hysteria
That’s what we have beating
In the heart of America

He was so near to me
Now, he's walking through the stars
Leaving a big dreamer waiting for him
Walking, cycling, then flying

Stop walking, I wanna be with you
Stop walking, distance is killing me
I'm waiting for the end of your trip
Away from home -that is Me -

They tell me not ever to write
for other people to come and see.

To scribble my words on paper
until my sorrow ends in glee

So I collect my scattered thoughts
and pour out the void inside me

I write till I'm left with nothing
I pour with love and form a sea

I craft them into beautiful stories
and they tell me to set them free

I almost do follow the suggestion
But I feel my heart struggle to agree

So I hang them like dried out flowers
and wait for people to come and see

Like an artist, I stand beside my works
Waiting. Day one. Day two. Day three.

Paitently, I wait for them to stop by
to hear me sing my impatient plea

I shout in dejection and fury all day
But then, with heart, I finally disagree

So I go out, burn my words to cinders
Ashes of my angst, I set them free.

I watch them as they soar across the sky.
I don't smile.
My thirteen-year old self loved rhymes.

Trees are like humans they need space to breathe
They reach for the skies and spread shade underneath
Ray's of dappled sunshine spill through their boughs
They stand tall and sturdy protecting the house
The green shoots of Spring grow a Summer display
The deep reds of Autumm keeping Winter at bay
When Winter arrives and they are covered in snow
They are secretly preparing for next years show
So just like a human, if you give love and care
They'll keep giving pleasure for as long as they are there
Right here,
In the eye of the hurricane
Everything makes sense.
Right here,
Everything is real.
And if the hurricane ends up killing me,
Oh well,
What a wild death would it be.
