Me time
my time
and about time
but more of that later.

The calendar tells me its Sunday
my mind tells me it's Friday
my body tells me it's creaking
just another week in my life.

Now it's time
or it was
thus
later becomes redundant
until later,

when later comes
when the sun's creeping off
I'll be off too
but not off the radar
only off to sleep.
Call me darling
but never darlin
Call me lovely
but never cute
Call me warmly
from the snow bank
Call me your
forbidden fruit

Call me restless
dreams on fire
Call me once
when twice won’t do
Call my name
into the darkness
Call me
—as I wait for you

I wish the world would give me one more chance
To paint outside the lines;
and have purple cows and red seas,
and green faces, and blue trees.
I wish the world would give me one more chance
To live through every minute of my dreams
With no worries, no fears;
No pressure, no tears,
I wish the world would give me one more chance
But this time make it a little bit better,
Cause I really hate it here.

When blue turns to gray,
and everything you believed in goes away.
When your heart cries in ache,
and your eyes can no longer stay awake.
Oh My Darling,
Don't you lose faith
for I'm just a whisper away

I am sorry
I have failed to stay happy
like how you would have wanted me to be.
You love him,
but he doesn't know.
All the stars go dim,
you love him,
with every breath a hymn,
but it doesn't show -
you love him,
but he doesn't know.
I dive into your
burnt sugar eye
and bathe there
while the moon
stumbles to
fullness. Riots
of peaches joust
in the sunset
while sways of
black walnut
throw shadows
to the street.
Radio towers
blink away
in long ovals
of distance.
Lonely cars
drift as if on
the sea floor.
I share this
with you
while waxy
breezes trawl
across the face
of the new night.
