Smile, when you feel like smiling

Scream, when you feel like screaming

Dance, when you feel like dancing

Cry, when you feel like crying

Ignore, what society says

Time is limited, don't waste it

He has a unique and brilliant style
Different from what you see around
So he's often referred to as weird
Sadly, he allowed them get into his head
Slowly he was losing his uniqueness
In an attempt to fit into the crowd
He was letting go of self
To recieve public acceptance
But deep inside, he felt an emptiness
What was meant to help him fly
was what they used to tie him down
One day, he picked himself off the ground
Untied his inactive wings
And learnt to fly again
This time, he disregarded what they say
Because he finally realized that
it's his life to live.

Hatred is for the weak at heart
Because it's more effortful to love
Telling a lie is like buying a cheap car
Easier to afford
But costly to maintain
Realness is getting overshadowed by fakeness in this world full of phonies
It requires more to shine in a lake of darkness
But good will always win.
look in the mirror
always find me behind you
mom a trusted friend.

You must
           remind  yourself
            everyday: That you
alone  are  in  charge  of  your
            happiness. You
                will not
    let anything outside
            of  yourself
                 control
                     you.

                You are
         creating  a  life
      that  feels  good  on
the  inside  and  that  will
          be enough to
    turn into experiences
         that  are good
        on   the  outside.

               And when
       a negative thought

  enters your mind, think
     three positive ones.
                   Train
           yourself to flip
               the script.

no one

Evie
he was here last night
in my bed
his chest rising and falling against my back

our heartbeats in sync
skin warm

it felt so wrong

he isnt you

he is no one
trying to fill that gap sux
All things
are equal
in length
& distance
from you -
the shyness
of tea steeping,
breezes
drawn off
Maryland's
green-armed
mountain,
night's gin
spill of
light on
the pane -
& don't forget
that I too
am in your
sphere,
more than
shadow,
less than
touch.
“The way to
heaven out of
all places is of
like length
and distance.”

I just can’t seem to find my place in this
world.
And then you fall in love for no reason.

Something is missing
It's a happy life
But I'm longing for more
I'm made for this
Why can't I have it

Smile for the ones that get it
But secretly hate them
I promise I'm trying
I've tried everything
