Blood oozes down the wall
Or if you find a large puddle of it on the floor
When your kid vomits green & their head spins right around
Or when they levitate above their bed & you can’t get them down
In your dreams, creepy girls sing disturbing rhymes
Or you wake up with deep cuts from a guy with finger knives
Toothless, *****, rednecks look at you with glee
Or when you walk into a house and it tells you to leave
At camp the young, half-naked counsellors turn up dead
Or worse without their head
When the scary tree outside your window tries to eat you
And the closet eats your sister too
Or when her new best friend is the beast
Also coffins start popping up, expelling the deceased
A shark isn’t looking for food anymore, just to ****
Or when its friends seek revenge on your family, people don't believe you & think you’re mentally ill
You’re vulnerable in space, thinking you’re blessed to be on this quest
And suddenly get these aliens that rip through your chest
You see a big guy with a chainsaw and wearing someone else’s face
Or worse makes a full skin body one to wear, seriously what a nutcase
What to do when you know you’re in trouble
Grab a gun, crucifix and holy water in a double
Skip the country and pray you’ll survive
But know deep down inside you may very well die.

Six teenager girls were in a basement, having a sleepover night
All was dark expect for the girl telling a scary story with the flashlight
When it was Bridget’s turn
With a face grim and stern
Told the story of ****** Mary
The others became wary
As she told how Mary had an admirer, her best friend’s dad
She was very young and he had thoughts, fantasies that were bad
Over the years his lust for her had grown
He tried to take advantage one day when she was home alone
She heard ringing, so went to answer the phone
Mr Borne hit the back of her head; Mary fell & began to groan
When she saw his murderous sneer & though it gave Mary a fright
Mary tried her hardest to fight
When her parents got home it was to a horrific sight
She was found beside the full length mirror, her lifeless eyes staring into it
And from the inside was a large split
In her own blood, she had written the initial B
Her watched had stopped in the afternoon, at exactly three
They say her spirit is in all mirrors, forever trapped but can be mainly seen at night
If you say her name in a mirror, three times & with only one candle for light
Mary will be awaken
And your life will be taken
As long as her soul remains unhealed
Do the ritual and your fate will be sealed.
Later, after playing with each others hair
The girls decided to play truth or dare
Natalie chose dare with fear
And Sandra gave a mischievous sneer
Being mean, with Sandra was habitual
She dared Natalie to do the ****** Mary ritual
She had to do it or be called chicken
Into the bathroom, her heart starts to quicken
She lights the candle, as the others close the door
Her feet are cold from the tile floor
The candle flickers as she breathes in deep
Beginning to silently weep
She called Mary's name into the mirror, three times
All Natalie could hear was the outside chimes
Then her candle blew out
And Natalie gave a desperate shout
The other girls just started laughing, locking her in
Natalie stopped shouting, feeling a chill all over her skin
She looked into the mirror; there was a girl with a sinister grin
Blood was dripping down the walls, the bathtub filling up with it too
Natalie’s worst fears grew
As the girl came out of the mirror & on to the counter top
Natalie begged her to stop
But Mary was burning with violence
She walked up to her and then there was silence
When the others opened the door it was to a grisly scene
Natalie’s face was so distorted, like nothing anyone has ever seen
Horribly scared, especially the girls, was everyone involved
It will remain forever a case unsolved!

Once there was a kind widowed old lady
Her name was Claire O’Grady
She is the eldest person in the community
And if possible, helps others at every opportunity
One day while she finished shopping, it was a bit too much for her to carry
The only one to volunteer was the bag boy Barry
So they both walked to her home, which was six blocks away
It was the beginning of May
So it was a warm, lovely blue sky day
Just when Barry was struggling, thinking another step he wouldn’t survive
To the house they finally arrive
She offered him a drink
Barry was grateful, so she went to the kitchen sink
There were peanuts in a bowel, he ate some, they were so tasty he ate some more
When Mrs O’Grady walked through the door
She smiled & offered some more peanuts in a jar
When she went to the cabinet there were a collection of them, it was bizarre
Barry loved peanuts & asked if she was sure she wouldn’t mind
She said take a jar, its was completely fine
That she couldn’t eat them because the peanuts her teeth couldn’t grind
Barry was confused & asked why she has kept so many then?
Mrs. O’Grady didn’t hear it, so loudly Barry asked again
It would change his life what he was about to discover
As Mrs. O’Grady said “Oh, they use to be chocolate covered”
Poor Barry went into a state of shock & never fully recovered.

From haunted halls, where ghosts’ creeps,
A Queen sits silent, with the secrets she keeps,
Once fair of face, a Princess beauty & bright,
Now cold and hard, consumed by anger that can ignite.

Her heart once pure, now turned to ice,
A foolish young beauty, paying the price,
Betrayed by a man’s love, a cruel deceit,
Her innocence lost, bitter & ever so sweet.

He made vows, beneath both the stars & the sun,
But each of his promises were broken, one by one,
His gentle words of love, nothing but a wicked lie,
Now distant forever in each cold, dark eye.

His treachery struck, a fatal blow,
Leaving her heart, weeping & filled with woe,
Her trust betrayed, her heart & spirit torn,
Never to be touched by love, she forever sworn.

Now on a throne, where hate has started to stain,
She rules her poor kingdom, in endless pain,
Her gaze, like ice, a freezing chill,
Over-taxing her people, bending them to her will.

She lives in the dark despair,
Her bitterness can be seen in her devoid stare,
Beware, gentle hearts, of love turned to hate,
For love can be treacherous & can change your fate.

She will forever be the only one to sit on the throne,
With a crown made of thorns & a heart made of stone,
Once a garden where the Princess’s roses had bloomed,
Now they are all withered, dried up & dead, eternally doomed.

In the realm where deceit, lies & betrayal are spun,
when she enters a room, all just try to run,
The naive Princess is gone, now a Queen who will never yield
Perpetually bitter & broken, a Queen that will never be healed.

Sara was the designated babysitter in the neighbourhood
She was booked solid for two months, she was that good
All the parents loved her because she was a sweet girl, saving up for college
She would study and read, soaking up all knowledge
This helped with the difficult children, like the Milton’s twin sons
They were hellions who would run around shooting off their, pretend, guns
Sara was asked to babysit them Saturday night
It’s a huge mansion, with glass walls & always gives Sara a fright
But they always gave her quite a bit of extra money
That night she gave the boys a treat, two cookies with oats & honey
With the boys in bed she decided to watch a movie, when she heard a bang
When she went to check it out, the phone rang
“Have you checked on the children?” this creepy, deep voice said
She checked on the boys, they were fine sleeping in their bed
So Sara went to check all the doors and windows, making sure they were locked
Then as she sat back down, on the front door someone knocked
Sara, with caution, looked through the peephole
There was no one, not a soul
A little spooked, she decided to get a book and quietly read
The phone rang and again the deep, creepy voice asked the question, filling Sara with dread
“This isn’t funny, who are you?” she pled
But the line went dead
She checked on the boys once more, they were sound asleep
She figured it was just some immature creep
The phone went off, with the same question
She texted a friend, she wrote back to ring the police for a trace, it was a good suggestion
Sara phoned the police and asked them if they could please trace the call
The guy phoned, asking the same question with a drawl
She was waiting for the police to respond, when she heard a noise on the second floor
Sara became scared to her very core
When the phone went off, she picked it up & the officer told her with urgency
That the calls were from inside the house, Sara tried to ring the Milton’s number for an emergency
But they didn’t pick up and then all of a sudden everything went black
When the Milton’s finally came back
The boys were fine, but no sign of Sara, so they searched the entire house
In the east guest room, strangled, bruised and dead, she was found by Mr. Milton’s spouse
Behave and check the children if you dare
So ends this tragic tale

Based On An Urban Legend
Just an Urban Legend based of the story of The Babysitter
The rumor, the lie
The teasing, I cry
The pain of the blade
My vision starts to fade
The hospital bed
My throbbing head
People gather around
Asking me to make a sound
But I'm stuck in my mind
When I surface, I find
My family, but not one friend
Time moves slowly as I mend
The cheerful hellos
The tearful goodbyes
Still feeling like I want to die
And it all started
With a rumor & a lie.
To those who are or have suffered because of rumors.
Do not think of me and cry
I am not dead, I only died
I'm now a part of the stars that shine at night
The moon that illuminates the earth so bright
The beautiful early morning dew
I am the light that shines upon you too
I am with the waves that crash upon the shore
I am part of the storms as they crack & roar
I am the wind that softly & freely blows
The autumn rain & winter snow
The summer fun & the spring flower
I am with you, every minute, every hour
I walk with you, hand in hand
My dearest, most treasured ones, do you understand?
Do not go to my grave & cry
I am not dead, I only died.
Dedicated to those who have had someone lost to death, i feel you
