Moon Shine

Today I got called moonshine.
I took it to heart,  for a moment
until it dawned that no one is ever
warmed by the moon.
Moon's don't leave
a yellow glow  on your skin and
none content with their lives can
hold its gaze for more then a
single moment.

I wish I could love what you said
but I have a feeling you like the night
just as much as I and with you still here,
I can't see the light.

Barefoot and dirt-clod
I tip-toe across the yard
Avoiding mounds of stickers
Sharp rocks and weeds

The sky is full
Satin filled milk fluff
And moonshine
Full on me

Our tangerine trees
Rustle with low lying
Bull frogs
Rib bit, rib bit

A symphony of crickets sings
High pitched Beetle mania
I hear a distant “moo” from the cows
A latent “who” from the owls in the barn

The statuesque wind chime
Is playing a cacophony of wind song
This life here engulfs me in its pure and rare beauty
I am one with the country, home again

Oh, Young, you are the bright sun in the sky
All nature smile because of your love
You are the moonshine in the sky of the night
and the rain of the happiness in the desert!

Oh, Young, the flowers smell pretty for your touch
the beautiful lady feels you with a loving heart
Everyone is fascinated by your sweet voice
and the world is astonished at your youth
You are the happiness of your friends
and the fear to the enemies!

You are the cyclone and the waves of the ocean
You're the sunshine, there's no one to stop you
You're the lovely song of the bird in the dawn
and the punch on the chest of the evil!

Oh, Young, you're the dream of happiness to a lover
and the heart touching wind in the morning
You're the pleasure to a mom and smile to a sister
and you're so young that's why I love you!

Sincerely
The night's venom bore through my skull.
The seduction to comply with its demand.
A tempting offer,
with a kind skeleton to show me the way.
His bones were cracked,
but still intact.
His boney smile did not seem so different from my own.
His hand gently enveloped mine as he dragged me along.
The beautiful fields he leads me through caught my eye,
the blues and purples of the field seemed to blend with the sky.
A moon falling on the horizon,
yet darkness still filled the sky.
He stumbled over his own feet.
You would think,
if he’s old enough to become a skeleton,
he should know how to walk by now.
