Sometimes you have no reason to stay,
and realize that's a perfect argument to go.
And that taking an entirely new way,
is the sore but single method to grow.

If you're washed-on abeyance's bight,
and you feel decision's heavy heft:
To choose the left where nothing's right,
or go to the right where nothing's left.

Remember it matters not where you proceed,
or which mountain you want to ascend.
It does not matter whether you succeed,
it is the journey that matters in the end.

when a poet falls in love with you
you can never die
they will notice the way
you rub your palms and look down
when someone is angry at you
and the way you smirk
as you pull away from a kiss

they will notice how you can't sleep
without your body touching someone else's
how you never crease any pages of books
and how you close your eyes when you dance in your kitchen
with your record player on

they will find all of the words
that they see you as
and turn them into something beautiful

people say you die twice
once when you stop breathing
and when someone says your name
for the last time

if you fall in love with a poet
they will never stop
mentioning your name
you will be alive
for eternity

i never knew before what such a thing felt like
but you have made me feel it and feel it all around
sometimes i am on cloud nine but then sadness takes over
sometimes i wish to tell you everything but then i can't say a word
sometimes i want to give up on this love but then i fail and fail again

i never knew before how much you would seep into my life
but now i have seen it and i certainly haven't seen it all
you're the lump in my throat holding back all the words i never said
you're the long walk i take every night brooding over the sweetness and sorrow
you're everything that makes me vulnerable and powerful at the same time
We're at the same place
At the same time
Doing the same thing
At the same pace

But here's the difference;
My heart was beating for you
But your heart was beating for her

It all started with a simple โ€œHiโ€
Then developed with a heartfelt smile
Like? Am I seeing it in your eyes?
And that hug? It lasted a long whileโ€ฆ

Math: found x, yet Iโ€™m looking for you
English: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTโ€ฆ VWXYZโ€ฆ Yes, I really did miss โ€œUโ€
Science: Neither Einstein nor Hawking has a clue
CLE: Even God knows itโ€™s trueโ€ฆ
I really do love youโ€ฆ

I stretch my hand, take it, come with me
I promise, youโ€™ll always be happy
Iโ€™ll teach you what it means to be free
Youโ€™re the only girl I ever seeโ€ฆ

Wish it, I shall lay waste to the best
Name it, Iโ€™ll make haste at your behest
Your will be done, though the heavens fall
A chevalier at your beck and call.

In time, I knew you might feel the same
However, these were all such a shame
It may have been easy to say โ€œHiโ€
But, sheโ€™s even quicker to say byeโ€ฆ
I am finally at my wits end
Guessโ€ฆ we can only ever be friendsโ€ฆ

In the honor of a rain with 6 drops for a name...
You are a piece of question, waiting to be answered.
Now I wondered, would you know that your presence kills and saves me at the same time?
