Phoenix Rising
I am haunted:
Not by poltergeist,
but by my unlived lives.
Parallel universes
won't ever speak,
they took an oath
to keep from me.
I have words and voices
humming in my head
that will never be met
outside of my bed.
I have to accept
I cannot have it all,
I have to accept
knowing nothing at all.

Read between the lines
of any word left unspoken
and you will find me reposed
inside the oceans of space
in the prophetic distance
of time
Infinitely aligned
with the truth
of Love’s
perfection

I rush deep into the valley
through this tidal wave of pain
in search of its core
desperate to end its reign

I find what remains
a half rotten apple writhing feverishly
as deathless maggots infest
it’s spiritual domain

Our intentions may be well
tender and sweet
but we are never immune
to the destruction of fears deceit

Permit the mind to run amok
and Knowledge will consume you
If you host this intrusive parasite
it will gorge on your toxic residue

Governed by laws
controlling the mind
we believe in our story
not seeing
The lies

The seers wait with loving regard
for awareness to awaken
the spirit of our hearts
for our souls to fly free
as Knowledge
departs

Our windows open
with a cautious approach
and we gaze in awe
as reflections of light
expose the brilliance of
Truth;

We.
are.
Life.

From this moment on
we feel
consciousness take form
and we create in our authenticity
of Joy
Peace and
Love

Welcome home.

your love runs dry
it always rains
you’re the reason
for my worst days
the blues I choose
the shades of gray
you paint the sky
on my darkest days
I hate you most
but I hate the way
you’re still the sun
on my perfect days

you make me see the world
through brighter eyes.
with a prettier mind,
and a softer voice.
i’m dreaming in technicolor
and i’ll never go back to black and white.

In the shadow of the night
The moon casts a beam of light
Into a room with fading wallpaper
And soda cans amongst other items
Strung across the floor
But on a bed that has lost its comfort
A young couple sleeps together
Intertwined like two souls melded together
They share the same breath
As they sleep

Some are friendly and like to be kissed,
Some are lonely with cuts on  their wrist,
But some have found,
When a man is around,
That it's surprisingly easy to walk into a fist.
