You held my hand, taught me to stand,
With silent love, a guiding hand.
Now I look up, and call your name —
But stars just shine… they’re not the same.

I cut?

Yes,
I cut deep enough
to feel alive
But never deep enough
To die

That their words make me smile
That their comments made the world seem better
That thinking of them lightened up my day
To all the cool poets on this site
When I reach out,
You grab my hand.
When I reach out,
You listen to my words.
When I reach out,
You're there.
Why pretend the trauma never happened?
Why hide the emotional scars?
Why bottle up emotional turmoil ?
For the comfort of others?
To keep family together?
To not offend anyone?
Stop thinking that hiding the truth is better than offending others with the truth ,those that retaliate are comfortable with the lies.
They are the ones that hurt you but convince you that you are the problem.
You are not the problem they are.
You are worthy of ❤️ love.

Happy Friend

Bri
You are the happy friend.
You seek compliments but you don’t believe them.
You can’t be the messed up friend because they have it worse.
You can’t compare because they won’t see it as bad as it is.
You are the happy friend.
You are the funny friend.
You are the safe friend.
You let them vent, you let them share.
You take the burden so they don’t have to. You carry their weight-
adding to yours.
You don’t let them see.
They check in with you but you know you can’t say anything.
You can’t trust them with your feelings. They don’t need more on their plate.
They can’t handle it, but you can.
You can’t be delicate.
You can’t be hurt.
You are unbothered.
Because you are the happy friend.

Gentle whispers blowing
Softly in the morning wind
Through the fields where
The soft flowers grow smiling
In the morning sunlight
They all shine so bright
And with a rustle and sigh
They carry a song high
And they dance in the field so green
And with a gentle embrace
It will brighten your space and
With whispers that bring souls to ease.
In The Field.

Some people say,
"I wish you were
taller"
Some people say,
"I wish your nose was a
bit bigger."
Some people say,
"I wish your lips were
smaller"
Some people say,
"I wish you were more
creative"
Some people say,
"I wish you were more
Intelligent"

But I say,
"Your Imperfection is also a
perfection for me
"
I think if I were a boy so I would impress all the girls. Being a girl and writing poems like a boy is  thrilling to me.
