LOSS OF A PARENT/LOVED ONE
When you have a loss like no other,
By this I mean your dad or mother.
Your support network opens, their arms to you,
And sends you all their love and condolences too.
This is a hard hit to take,
So, in life you then try to make.
A new turn in your journey to come,
And spend more time with those you love, that won’t/don’t take you for a run.
You may even, withdraw for a while,
And no longer, find a reason to smile.
Your heart, is left feeling, continuously empty,
You block out, those emotions, even though, you have/feel plenty.
You don’t want to see or do anything,
And your heart will, for a long time, continue to sting.
You try to keep your mind distracted,
And try to stop your emotions, that are, being sensitively reacted.
