I have realised that the discovery
Of my-self has made that I can
walk alone, head high, with a
sense of completeness no one will
remove from me...

I am a complete entity, making
choices which i know will affect
the direction of my life-path,
the Sun and the Moon are here to
give me strength..

The walk down to the river mouth,
is long, but i will forcibly arrive,
I am following the flow
I feel the universe is driving me through,
what can be  better than
to simply follow the flow,
letting myself guide by the light and
positive energy around me...

I am light, I am myself...
Even when I walk alone i feel
complete, because
Now, I know my purpose!

When the Me and the You
Takes over, you can only
Be Powerful... The Focus
Is where I stand, and at what
Frequency the light in me
Radiates...
Show me
true beauty
how waves
break the shore
into individual grains
yet each contains
the whole
crystalline universe
reflecting light
renouncing midnight

Leave me not
upon the sand
barefoot and stripped
recounting sins
to the weary wind
return my heart
to loving grace
salt-scrubbed chambers
cleansed of hate
tenderly reborn

let love
rise from this
arid ground
clear water drawn
from a deeper well
with cupped hands
tend the seeds
so we may eat
of the bounty
that rightfully belongs

to no one

It was flickering.
She could feel it.
She watched in awe as the light fought its way through,
Moving,
Just as she thought that it would die out,
That the fight was over,
It flickered again,
Stronger,
Brighter,
Hotter.

It seemed like an endless cycle.
A vicious, painful cycle.
She wondered why the light didn't just give up!
Why was it fighting its way through what seemed like a pointless war?!
Why didn't the light just...give up?
It would be easier, safer, painless...

Then she saw it.
The light stopped flickering.
The flame grew, brighter and brighter,
lighting up the black room,
Illuminating her once dark life.
She saw the flame dancing in glee,
knowing that it had won that dark battle.
She looked down and saw a shadow,
Her shadow.

Just like that,
She had her answers.
Lay your angel rose on me
Lay it soft
Lay it free
Let all love surround both we
Let it go
Let it be
Remember all the words we shared
Remember it all
Remember it cared
Grasp all hope I gave your heart
Grasp it tight
Grasp it's art
Release all the hate that began to win
Release it now
Release it's sin
Lay your Angel rose for we
Lay it soft
Lay with me
Being strong isn't much different from being weak...the difference is that in the former you don't give up.
If only a little eye of newt,
or mandrake root, or hemlock bark,
could turn these loathsome suitors
into lovers handsome, tall and dark.
They paste their unappealing photos
next to profiles trite and silly,
and send flirtations cut-and-pasted
into the ether *****-nilly.
Don’t you know my time you’ve wasted?
I have no interest in your wooing.
Instead of listing your opinions
there are things you should be doing:
Learn to listen, read more books,
lose 15 lbs and use some manners.
Answer emails, learn to cook,
travel widely, study language.
Say what you mean, do what you say,
you’ll find a date without delay.

I haven’t found the witches’ brew
that will turn boys into men.
'Til then with dating I am through,
and bitter missives I will pen.
An old Poetfreak favorite.
