on that rooftop
i looked into the distance
and wondered why i couldn't see

why the world stops.

but i realized
if you fly,

the world never stops.

red

can be anger
                                                                                                        can be love
can be abusive
                                                                                             can be passionate
can be dangerous
                                                                                                can be warning


it is the color of blood
                                                                                        it is the color of love

Her eyes were green with joy,
Lips red with lust,
And her heart purple with passion.

But her hair was painted black with poison,
Cheeks dyed aqua with tears dried,
And blood flowing  fading pink from love long forgotten.

She was a piece of art,
A ****** up abstract.

Standing on the ledge precariously,
Simply not giving a ****.

Things can only go downhill from here, right?

Right?

But no,

Still I paced, and I paced, and I paced.
Is it really worth it?

The trees looked up and seemed to extend their arms to me.

And suddenly I was falling.

Falling freely.

Free.

Finally.

The words were hidden,
And she couldn't differentiate the good or bad in them.

They floated softly upon her skin,
The girl numb to the pain.

It was only until she was dead that she realized those words were not quite nice after all.

He lurked in the darkest corners
And watched as the golden color of her halo
Faded away into nothingness

The girl realized there was no hope and her innocent thoughts turned evil. It was in that moment she noticed that life had no loopholes, no doors to exit from.

He begged and tried to get her to stay but he simply could not get the message across.

Silent tears and sobs wracked through his body as he watched the girl.

He watched her curl up.
He watched her scream at the world.
He watched her stand up.
He watched her fall down.

Again.

Again.

And again.

And then one day, he watched her jump.

In that moment, he swore he saw her halo glow again.

Your dark eyes luring me in,
Capturing me like a Picasso.
You pulled me in,
Held me tight.

Then you let me go
