it has been said for ages that a woman
could lead a man willingly to his demise
a song or a dance; a touch or a glance
simple gestures could dumbfound the wise
these have always just been strange stories
tall-tales or faerie-tales, even outright lies
until half a year ago. until the day that I-
became so very lost within her deep blue eyes

it was just a simple look
that's all it took
my heart missed a beat
then it shook

and in that moment, I finally did realize
how very powerful they can be; a woman's eyes

Hours of darkness began to sigh
As daylight, no longer in sight

Gushing of water flowing placidly in the stream
Oh-what a lovely evening, to dream

My feet drag me to the wilds
The feeling of exhilaration like a child

Where the bleak twigs creak
And the frigid weather kisses my cheeks

Solitude state under the ethereal sky
How I wish you nigh

But this lonesome brought me to a place,
I call it Nowhere because my journey isn't over
For I'll always be a wanderer
Long walks and getting lost is one of my favorite adventures. It's like an escape from everything. Finally, I get to clear up some of my troubled thoughts :D (although it was freezing cold lol)

She's a soft cool rain on a hot summer's day.
She makes me laugh with the funny things she has to say.

She's the beat of my heart, and the air that I breathe.
She's the sun and the wind, and (Autumn's) golden leaves.

She's the pride that I feel when I know she's done what's right.
She's that warm feeling I get, when I remember tucking her in at night.

She is homework and a busy social life.
She has this beautiful smile that could light the darkest night.

She is the scared feeling I have when she stays out late.
Or the feeling that I am losing her, when she wants to date.

She's the mixed emotions I have, as I watch her mature and grow.
I tell myself she will never leave, but, I know in my heart that someday she will go.

I hope the man that steals her heart, will treat her like a queen.
Because she deserves so much more, than a man that treats her mean.

I will always cherish the heart wonderful times we have had.
The best part of my life was being her dad.

So now you know who she is, she's my little girl.
I love her with all my heart and always will
Written by my dad.
I just thought of this and wanted to see where it can go. I know I don't have enough followers for this kinda thing but oh well I have 69 (Teehee). The topic is Paradise. Make your own paradise in the form of a poem. Whether your paradise is found within the smile of your crush or a world with no homework I don't care. You have all the power here.
Tag it #paradisechallenge and I'll be checking the tag occasionally to see if anyone even cares. That's all. (fades into darkness)
We fell in love
In the summer
And as the colors changed,
He did too.
Only,
His change was not as beautiful
As the choreography
Of red, orange, and yellow leaves,
But rather the remains
Of the dead tree branches,
Leaving only
Cold,
Empty,
And eerie thoughts
Whistling in the autumn wind.
It may be Winter but my mind is still stuck in Autumn
May our demons never catch up to our dreams.
May the wings beneath our feet rage on, fueling the beacons of hope's glistening beams.

May we prosper, may we laugh.
May life be gentle to us, may we love...

May we run wild in natures gracious embrace.
Find peace, find tranquility, may we find purpose and a harmonious space.

Let's be young... Yes, let's be young and stupid.
Master emotions and conquer cupid.

Let us live to shake the hand of death, acknowledge him as an eventuality and not an end.

May we be immortal in the hearts and minds of time, move with the winds of change through the future's will as it bends.

May we live, may we laugh, may we love...

Please excuse me,
Something is not right.
I look alive,
But believe me when I tell you
A part of me has died.
A piece of a puzzle lost long ago
Underneath miles of rubble
In a destroyed world
Since then I've been searching
For the last piece of my soul
Only to find I made a bigger hole.
Now I'm falling
Deep into this hole I made.
Still looking for the puzzle piece
That is burning at the center of the earth.

Are you okay?

Yeah. Yeah. I'm okay.
Nevermind.
