Every evening, she slips over my world
effortlessly extinguishing the light of day
yet illuminating so very much-
Night is upon us.
Her touch and cool breath soothe the pains of life.
The silver albedo of the moon throws waves of pale light
which break and crash on all we are and perceive:

Night and I lay together on the grass
looking up at millions of years ago

She leans over to me as if to kiss me on the cheek
and my eyelids become heavy
and will no longer tolerate my futile resistance.

I drift to sleep for what I swear is but a second
then startle awake in cold sweat and fervid confusion to find
that she has gone. Now it is morning.
She left no trace behind save for the chill still in flight
O, how I long for our rendezvous tonight.
This poem is from over a year ago, I just decided I oughtta upload and share it.
Looking up at the full Moon
the closest it comes this year
out on my deck after work
through my childhood telescope.

A full Moon through a telescope is really something to behold;
Especially when the Moon appears
up to 14% larger and 30% brighter
than it does on the dimmest of full Moons.
-
T'ai Chi basking in the Moonbath;
The Sky dimly fluoresces in chilled Air
as Landscape glows with moonlit Auras;
This is truly a magical near-annual moment.
(Supermoons happen about every 14 full Moons)

I thank you; Moon and Night.
I thank you; Khonsu and Nephthys.
I thank you; Selene and  Nyx.
I thank you; Luna and Nox

Happy Supermoon 2013.
Khonsu and Nephthys are the Egyptian god of the Moon and goddess Night, respectively.
Selene and Nyx are the Greek equivalent goddesses.
Luna and Nox are the Roman equivalent goddessess.

THE TRECK

Step-
      step-
          step

Walking through
orange mountains--
a journey toward
the blue hole,
like shamans through a desert--
except we have beer.

never loosing our sight
of the sea,
I swear, every step
makes the water glow a more magificent blue
as the wind travels through every rock.

Step-
      step-
          step

One of the electric men
from the rocks whispers
through a gust
to trust the path ahead of me.
I take a swig of beer.

Step-
      step-
          step

                                                               Serene duet
between Nephthys and Nuit lulls us

Bleeding, missing platelets
Like a fountain, Exsanguination
Carcass, skin and bones left
Bury me, burn me, you better remember me.

Boy, get your paws right off me.
Growl, howl, gnaw, all you want.
Do not defile me. Leave, run for your life
Go face your reflection and scream, monster.

Snaked Nile, blue and white
carry the scratched Sarcophagus
to the end of the world.
Mummified monster.

Relic of the dark past
Monster of today
Destroyer of the bright future.
Don't let him escape, I pray to Horus.

Oh, the divine one-eyed one
heed my prayers.
Isis, guard him like Ra
Fear him like Apophis.

Otherwise, like ISIS
he will destroy your dreams, Mesopotamia.
Possessed by Set, blinded by red
Constrain him before he kills your Osiris.

Swamp, sudden snap. The jaws of Sobek
One monster to the rescue of the other.
Great Khnum, carry the golden coffin to the sea of chaos
destroyed by Isfet or swallowed by the black snake. Keine pflege.

Nephthys. Water, flood him
bury him deep within the death bed.
Vater, Moustached black man
Ich werde dich nicht vermissen.
Just to help understand this, this poem uses a lot of Egyptian mythology references and the end of the poem uses german words.

my skin is rotting
don't feel like talking
All I do is scratch my skin till I bleed
listening to the songs you said were bad
I told all my friends that I don't like you anymore
but I lied
still meeting you tomorrow night
hope you don't see my
psychotic flaws
or my medication pills
I got my prescription filled
I tell myself act normal
before meeting up with you
it seems to be working
hope you don't notice
the marks
maybe I should get a tattoo
to cover it all up
I'm slowly drying into the ground
It hurts to breathe in deep
you'll still like me right
a little bit crazy
not too much

Religions of the ancient Near East
Anatolia Ancient Egypt Arabia Canaan   Persia
Mesopotamia Sumer Semitic; Ancient Semitic       religion encompasses the
polytheistic religions of the Semitic peoples
from the ancient Near East and Northeast Africa.
Since the term Semitic itself represents a rough
category when referring to cultures, as opposed
to languages, the definitive bounds of the term
"ancient Semitic religion"  are only approximate.

Semitic traditions   and their pantheons
fall into regional categories: Canaanite religions of the Levant, Sumerian tradition-inspired Assyro-Babylonian religion of Mesopotamia, and Arabian polytheism. Semitic polytheism possibly transitioned into Abrahamic monotheism by way of the god El, whose name "El" is a word for "god" in Hebrew, cognate to Arabic Allah.

Abbreviations: Ac. Akkadian-Babylonian; Ug. Ugaritic;
Pp. Phoenician; Ib. Hebrew; Ar. Arabic; OSA Old South Arabian; Et. Ethiopic

Ac. Ištar, Ug. ʻṯtrt, Pp. ʻštrt / Astarte,
Ib. ʻAštoreṯ). The meaning of the
name is unknown and not related to ʼAṯiratu.
Haddu/Hadadu - (Storm god: Ac.
Adad, Ug. hd, Pp. Adodos). The meaning
of the name is probably "thunderer".
This god is also known as Baʻlu "husband, lord"
(Ac. Bel, Ug. bʻl, Pp. bʻl/Belos, Ib. Baʻal).
Śamšu - "sun" (Sun goddess: Ug. špš, OSA:
šmš, but Ac. Šamaš is a male god).
