Dear Friend,
I care not if this doesn't trend....
I have to air these thoughts out,
I feel that I should, without a doubt.....

I came--with my baggage,
A bit fearful and without courage.
Though, at first, I hesitated,
I decided sooner, I should get started.

I saw--your concise comments,
Read them during my soulful moments.
Encouraging words you sincerely offered,
When some would not at all have bothered.

I conquered-- all my worries and fears....
With much support from YOU and the rest of our peers
Because of you, I write, unmindful of the throes,
Jotting down all my joys, my pain and my woes.

Lovely soul, dear friend,
You and your words, indeed, are heaven-sent...
A spring to nourish your parched lands,
Arid winds kept at bay, far away from your bushlands.

Suffice it to say....
You always make my day.

Elizabeth Squires, this one's for you....
My way of saying, "Thank you!"

Sally

I would swim a never-ending ocean,
Climb a mountain
That reaches into the sky,

Hike through treacherous bushlands,
I would challenge any staircase, Regardless of how high!

I would inhale the Earths atmosphere,
I would pocket every galaxy and star,

I would drain every deep-sea,
Lake, lagoon and river,
Anything to keep them nearer,
Rather than far!

I would fly to the edge of reality,
I would hitchhike across the globe,

I would skydive from the heavens,
I would carry a mountainous load...

To be with my five precious daughters. .

Happy 15th Birthday Amanda F (A.F)
My Precious 1st Born ❤⚘

My precious 1st born, Amanda, was born 15 years ago today!
Wishing her everything that makes her heart smile and her soul shine brightly.
I will never forget the day she was placed into my embrace. The day she made me believe, more than ever before, that love could be unconditional and pure.
So proud of her and her sisters.
May she always live encompassed by light and.love. May she grow to be brave and strong. May she always know her worth and live bravely.
Happy 15th, my precious girl!

To spring’s Rebirth we looked
For reprieve from Orange Men,
Black Mamba gone too soon,
And the grey skies of faded winter afternoons.

Instead of azaleas and cherry blossoms’ magical fraicheur,
And the societal balm of sport-
Greeted in the soft spring light by Pandemic’s frosted darkness
First in the East, did Calamity raise her call to war
But as Rome in Carthage’s destruction did Old Calamity head West
Yet again it was Italy to suffer and raise its alarm
The People were crushed by the vice of disease
But further did they fall through their own Vice
and ignorance of values dear and established Law’s precepts.
A return to communal Glory’s past, they tried-
Further did they wander into the Hinterlands of Humanity

Finally these diverse, united peoples
Began to trust
In the road to Lady Liberty
Through song that overpowered Isolation
Spring’s rebirth seemed possible
But Calamity’s thirst was not yet quenched
And to America’s shores did she travel -
With zeal and fervor for destruction

The gates were open to catastrophe
Indeed did we welcome fire and brimstone
Without the means of final Victory.

Much as we did talk, action came too slow.
Burning like the Bushlands
Fools continued drinking and gathering
***-like in belief
That what soothed in days of old
Would throw Calamity over the Wall
But No.

Grace of seasons past existing only
In the Hinterlands of collective memory
Spring’s Rebirth would wait another year.
Like sport and summer’s breeze on outdoor cafés,
We hope she comes back soon,
With Lady Reason as a boon.
