Don't judge me by my looks
And don't read me by the books
I am brash and I am kind
I am hard to define
I am bold. I am shy
I am grounded, but I fly
I love, and I give
I cradle, I forgive
Though soft I may feel
I am thunder, I am steel
I am smiles and I am laughter
I am happily ever after
I am tears and I am ache
I am a mess when I break
I hold tightly, but I know
When it's time to let go
I am dove, I am hawk
I am the rose and the rock
I am rain. I am sun
I am I. I am woman

Thank you all so much **
Dearest everyone, thank you so much for your likes, loves, reposts.  Thank you so much for all your wonderful and encouraging responses. This is a small,  simple poem and I wasn't certainly expecting all the attention it has received. I am grateful to all of you talented poets and readers. I am so happy that it was chosen as a daily - it's a wonderful feeling. Love to all.

I am also very thankful to Conrad Druger van den Bergh, an excellent poet and wonderful friend who inspired this x

Chew

We chew on words
We chew on thoughts
We chew them like curds
We chew a lot.

We chew on gum
We chew on emotions
We are so dumb
We just go through the motions.

We chew on our fingers
We chew on rubber bands
We start to linger
We honestly just don't understand

That chew means to think
and think means to chew
I know before I even blink
That I will always love you.

It is nighttime.
The stars glimmer
in **** near
infinite distances and
directions,
sending out
static signals
that we may never hear,
emitting light,
we get to see
long after
they are deceased.
I would give you these
burning things.
I would send you safe
sparkling dreams
of space travels
and grand adventures.
If my hand could stretch
beyond the horizon
of a black hole
I would reach out
into the gravity field
and gift you
the unknown.
For a small smile
or merely the hope
that one day
past your pain
you will laugh again
and find sweet dreams
I would give you eternity.
But for now
all I have is poetry.
So, I give you the heart
of my words,
they are yours
to do with as you please.

Books are best,
To avoid pest,
Be the first,
By reading the just,
And destroy the worst,
To lead your rest...

YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING,
YOU ARE MY ALL IN ALL,
YOU LIFT ME WHEN I FALL,
YOU HEAL ME WHEN I'M SAD,
CAUSE YOU'RE MY DAD........
FOR MY DEAR DAD

IN THE DARK FILTHY ROOM,
THERE'S NO ONE ELSE,
TO LIGHT UP THE ROOM
THROUGH FEARY THOUGHTS.
I HEAR A VOICE, A HORROR VOICE;
IN A STREET WITH NO NOISE.
SWEATING ALL OVER MY FACE,
TREMBLING AND SHIVERING IN THE FEAR.
I YELL FOR SOMEONE'S HELP;
A TOUCH ON MY SHOULDER,A SOFT TOUCH
ALMOST MY HEART CAME OUT OF MY BODY
I SLOWLY TURNED WITH HOPE
SOMEONE IS THERE EVEN IN DARK TO HELP ME.
I JUST LOST MY CONCIOUS FOR A MOMENT,
WHEN I OPEN MY EYES
I FOUND MY MOM IN TEARS
"SHE WAS LIKE A MIRACLE
NO ONE IN THE ROOM
HOW SHE'S IN THERE CRYING FOR ME???
THOSE TEARS FOR ME
MEANS A LOT TO ME
NO ONE ELSE COULD REPLACE YOU
CAUSE I LOVE U .
I NEVER EXPRESS IT YOU MOM,
BUT MY HEART THINKS ABOUT YOU-
EVERY DAY, EVERY HOUR, EVERY MINUTE,
EVERY SECOND,  AND EVERY BREATH OF MY LIFE.
MOM NO WORDS COULD EXPRESS ---
MY LOVE FOR YOU
YOU ARE MY HEART BEAT
WITHOUT YOU I HAVE NO LIFE......
DEDICATED FOR U MOM

Grief

.
A grieving woman stands alone
by the grave of a friend departed.
In the relentless blistering cold
of a day that should never have started.

As tears roll down her ruddy cheeks
mourning the loss of a friend released,
the memories of her life are sad,
the pain has gone, the pain has ceased.

So all that's left for the grieving woman
are a grave and memories to recall.
As she turns to face the world once more
she sees a leaf from an Oak tree fall.
