Within my mind I experience freedom,
A freedom from a landlocked life,
But I still drown in vast ocean of my attention.

Here is the story of a life saving adventure,
A girl peddling through the waves of her own mind
Sinking deep into the world of sea,
But open to the thrilling victory of possibility.
I’ve been set of into the unknown discovery of ground
For my ocean flows deep,
Like immense voids in an undiscovered coral
They lay buried in..
But light up with a firm consciousness of life.
She can walk
          between
             night and day
               never letting either
                  get in her way.
She learned this trick
                     many moons ago
                                by
                     going deep within
           and never letting it show.
Her soul is innocent
her heart is pure
she’s gone through more
than most could endure.
            She’s an angel of light
                 an angel of dark
                 you never know
              what you will spark.
                      You want to hurt her?
                         Please, go ahead and try
                           she’ll be the one to show you
                                  just how well she can
                                                              f
                                                                l
                                                                  y.
                                  Her soul innocent
                    her heart pure
      but never think for one minute
that she’s not secure.
                                Say what you will
                          please, do what you must
                       but your jealousy and hatred
                             won’t waver her trust!

Even Those Angels Out There Have Their Limits…..

A darkened room has no sorrow
No today and no tomorrow;
A darkened room has no sadness
It has no pain, only madness.

A darkened room has no light
Has no moon or starlight bright;
A darkened room has no shine
Has no lustre, yours or mine.

A darkened room has no good
Has no heartbeat, has no blood;
A darkened room has no breath
Has no life but only death.

A darkened room has no style
Has no simper, has no smile;
A darkened room has no grin
Has no easiness within.

A darkened room has no day
Has no notion, has no say;
A darkened room has no eve
Has no reason to believe.

A darkened room has no PC
It has no he or has no she;
A darkened room has no view
Has no me and has no you.

i don't know what i expected,
when i walked away with you
but certainly not
for you to do what you would do

it wasn't like you showed it,
it wasn't like i cared
but when i walked off with you
you gave me no reason to be scared

when you leaned in close to me
when you took my hand in yours
i told myself i wanted it
i told myself to open the doors

but then after you had left
when you had made everything worse
i realized what had happened
was an enchanting curse
"All curses are enchanting in the beginning."

I'll never forget the time she cried,
The time she called my name.
The time I broke undoubtedly
The time that caused me pain
Her voice it trembled, the fear it spoke
The fear it sounded
My heart was broke
It changed me deeply
Caused my soul to weep
Composure gone, with none to keep
Rattled into tears.
Playing out my nightmares
Giving into fears.
Carved into me, engraved so deeply.
I cannot seem to shake,
Forcing me to wake.
Locked within a cell,
Left with time to dwell
In this living hell.

Commuter Poet
What does a poet see
That others do not?

What discoveries do they make
By returning faithfully to the page?

What meaning do they convey
Through ordering words for us to read

What do they see
That others do not?
