If I could be the moon
I would not shine, but
My grey dusty bones would spin
Endless

Let me pull you in, my ocean
Let me push you away, my sea
Let me stay in orbit, my bittersweet gravity

I am alone
Do not look up at me
You will not see my dark side weep
feeling distant

Blondie
Cobbled streets
And flashing lights
The splashing rain
Illuminates my nights
A labyrinth of buildings
Standing row by row
Secrets in dark alleys
That only a few do know

Broke my wings
So I couldn’t

Fly

So I stole his soul
So he couldn’t

The mist upon the
Concrete colored  lake
Hard to see through
The thickness
Like the words
In my soul
Thickly hidden
The mist lifts from
Above the lake
As my poem
Rises from my soul
the sun's staring eye
looked through my west window
with a fixed gaze
