these blue waves
flashing within
just tides
emanating from heaving orbs
transmitting lugubrious messages

this aroused
but dormant volcano
only rekindled
by the stealthy healer - time

nursing sporadic,
subsistence a smorgasbord of
trivial pursuit

that starry gaze
lantern for my winding path,
your buxom chassis
my goose down duvet
from the arctic winds of seclusion

at the center of the milky way
rests
the reclining lord of sri ranga
adorning a diadem
accentuated with a peacock feather

complexioned like
the dark rain bearing clouds
his golden navel
the true seat of
this galaxy’s black hole

a waft of
warm sandalwood
floats all through space
as i revel in the lilting tunes of
die zauberflote

Poem inspired by Govind Ramakrishnan from his book- my world in fifty words

a curled black serpent ascends

her piercing eyes hell bent
on kissing
seven white lotus buds
placed along spine

with each peck
buds bloom in ecstasy,
reversing that
illusory mirror of duality
making dreamer and his dream one

nectar descends

with each flutter
those kohl rimmed eyes
reveal
a mirror to her heart
lips fail to deliver
heart’s murmur

her slate of the past
now wiped clean,
a new future is chalked
ruthlessly trampling
past residue

residue
may be all that I am...
soul’s temple frail
from its combat with life
but
my resilient inner beauty
audaciously still seeks
a glimmer of hope

‘tis the tail end
of the blue hour

taking meticulous care
i string an empyrean necklace
studded with millions of shy stars
from our spiraling galaxy
around that blue neck of yours

enough of  these
moody celestials
playing dice with
the collective fate of billions below

‘tis time for your dance...

i stand
palms folded
in mute surrender
to the crescent bearing goddess,
whose fish shaped eyes
bear sole witness
to the final cosmic dance
into which
all beings
animate and inanimate
dissolve into

between
her sensuous orbs,
atoms and stars
music and cacophony
love and hate
consciousness and matter
all become one

the nectar of love
only comes with
the poison of pain,
two for the exorbitant price of one

standing
at the chasm of life and death
destroyed by love
grief remains as life’s sole friend

the memories of love
now belong to time
and this aging body to the five elements.
