Snug in the trance of your solitude,
you whoosh through the silver clouds
like a Sphene meteorite
lighting up a green fluorescent trail,
while the music in your soul
dance to the phantom glow of the stars
that lullaby you on your numinous path.

You came to roost in the frigid dreams
of a callous winter that haunts my soul,
to paint mysterious charms in my yearnings.

Your eloquent 'kyowks' entrance me -
I long to fly with you
on your pilgrimage
through the silver clouds
to a land beyond the frostiness of this callous winter!

White clouds
sailed down
like a whiff of melancholy
to kiss to the mountains
before wafting to the heavens
to join the cosmic mystery.

Thoughts are putrid air
in a dingy room.
They nauseate.
My heart pains.

Can light ever disobey
the one who said “let there be light”
and camouflage into
the sacrilegious web of darkness?

Light never knocks,
it gate-crashes to live
it’s destiny; it’s a melody,
no one has seen its wings;
the discerning floats
with it to join in the cosmic mystery!

Darkness dredges deep into the soul,
tempest gouges out my stillness in manic vengeance,
lightning in fiery wrath
rips up the mind’s horizon.
Thunderous sky roars in scaring rage.
Panicked,
stars went hiding
in the pall of gloomy clouds.

My soul too blackens out,
O Shepherd,
where are you this night?

The carpeted bluebells
under the woodland canopy
swaying in ecstasy
to the hypnotic tunes of the morning breeze
invite me
to blend with them
to create a new shade of Spring.

Am I not privileged?

Thoughts descend
in neon whites of infinity
to hit the keyboard as an avalanche of words
to leave thumb-prints of ingenuity.

Words become cadaverous,
impotent to birth them.
They leave stillborns
with pale yellow shadows!

An eerie pain numbs my senses.
I suffocate.
O, had I become the unuttered word!

A mischievous breeze
left the leaves of the baronial tree
to weave new strains of music
in my hair.
And that set my soul free!

Like a hapless fly
trapped in a spider’s tricky web,
I struggle.

A vicious web,
a thousand hairy hands,
crooked as they are,
they descended on me
to squeeze my sensibilities
in their roguish grip.

A hapless fly
trapped in a spider’s tricky web,
I struggle.
